Tonight’s dinner: a bottle of local cider and a Burger King burger 😆Я хорошо помню КВН, причём разных периодов начиная с СССР.
> Rex takes a squeaky toy that Moser bought at the beginning of the episode to Moser's body and squeaks it until he accepts his master is gone, then he lays his head on Moser's chest and the scene fades to white.
#filmstrKubrick was killed when he was about to reveal the truth about his film for NASA about the Moon landing. NASA did actually go to the Moon, but they had to hire Kubrick to film the landing because, in reality, they found Nazis there.
This truth sounds like a crazy conspiracy theory, and everyone laughs at it because agents of the lunar Nazis infiltrated the leadership of Israel and the United States, and through their efforts, this truth now looks like a lie.
I haven't seen a single responsive UI in any Nostr project. That's partly because Nostr is decentralized, and partly because most of the people building UIs came from web development — which, honestly, isn't the best school for this. Frankly, it's the worst.
The only project with a truly responsive interface is Damus.

Frontend developers should've reached the word Optimization by now. I don't care how cool your stuff is if the UI lags and isn't responsive — even on your own damn machine.
I recently learned that English speakers tend to see the em dash (—) in text as a telltale sign of AI-generated writing, while Russian speakers think the same about quotation marks like «». Funny thing is, my PC keyboard actually has both — and « » (using a modifier key and a double press — like -- or << / >>), but I have no idea where to find “”. So to me, those are what scream “AI-generated” 😄

Relays are too complex a concept. People will never pay for relays — they'll pay for clients. They pay for what they *own*. Make paid clients 😏
I don't write in JavaScript. Even my JavaScript is written in Go first, then translated into JavaScript.
But if I did write in JavaScript, I'd use Bun. It looks awesome. I've heard about it for a while, but I only checked it out yesterday — and it's honestly amazing.
For starters, it's written in Zig 😳
>Japanese automakers may import some of their own US-built cars
It's surprising that Trump even allowed them to have local production in Japan. He really is a kind man after all.
Well, the first photo I can understand — it's just a regular national flag.
But what the hell is going on in the second one? 😐

I can just imagine how the SimpleX Chat developers would be carried around like heroes if they had proposed the exact same thing — just with some Cashu sprinkled in. They'd be treated like saints by all eight Nostr users and three Cashu fans.
Right now, Nostr basically runs on three models.
The first is free, which is also the weakest — it survives purely on people's enthusiasm.
The second is the freemium model (today's paid relays), where some features are paid, but they're still forced to provide free read access. It's barely viable — maybe 20% of relays manage to break even at best.
And the third is commercial projects, which could drop Nostr anytime and make their stuff incompatible. They don't care about the community 😄 — they’re only here as long as it's convenient or profitable, and they'll walk away the moment it's not.
All this talk about "a protocol, not a platform" isn't worth a damn — the moment someone builds a successful project, they'll turn it into a platform anyway.
And Nostr is already set up for that. It's covered in junk like a hobo's Christmas tree — Cashu, Auth, WoT and who knows what else.
What SimpleX Chat proposed is of course bullshit, but there's no need to praise Nostr in contrast to them — it's already drowning in crap before it even managed to crawl out of it.
I get the feeling that SimpleX Chat is getting trashed here purely because they went down the shitcoin route, instead of jerking off to Bitcoin.
