Status update, second to last.., only for Nostr enjoyers 🍻 I am still suffering from never ending phantosmia, and the latest experiments showed no signs of improvement. This week again I was forced to stay in bed for 50% of my time, fighting with seizures. Even having one right now, hanging my head 180 degrees rotated from the side of the bed, while writing this text. Next year my WG friends will move to a different place and I can't follow them. Since my financial situation only has gotten worse I am realistically speaking game over. Over the past months couple people, even from this community and OpenSats, contaced me regarding work, but all my answers take 4 times as long as people expect. As the weeks come and go, and i am seeing how little I am able to do, I wonder how I ever could be able to make them happy and how working for them would reduce my suffering. People have absolutely no idea how bad my health situation is. So my OpenSats request is still in draft, and while I really want to submit it, in the same time I fear that it would just be an absolute waste of everybodies time, since I am neither a Bitcoin, nor a Nostr maxi 🫠. Positive news is that I joined the Solidjs fellowship, helping on the work for the next SolidStart version 🎉! Meanwhile Switzerland just accepted E-ID and all I can think of since last sunday is how I could leave this failed country, with no money and instead with a damned disability that nobody ever has heard of. Call me a doomer, but I think my last hour has come.. Anyhow... keep stacking, even if it is cardboard under a bridge 😉. Have a sunny friday 🤙.

The longer I think about it, the more I come to the conclusion that the only difference between democracy (as it is practiced today) and oligarchy is that oligarchs in a democracy no longer have to fear losing their heads. GM 🙋‍♀️

To be fair, after further research, most databases actually do not delete data properly. If you wanna get rid of sensible data, in Postgres and Sqlite you have to run an extra "Vacuum" command, in Mysql you have to "Purge". Feels like the only scalable way for guaranteed deletion is to either use no db at all or to go multi-tenant and create dbs per entity. So what do you prefer for nostr apps, nostr-tools or ndk? 🤔 I am building a proof-of-concept for an e2e encrypted, anonymous chat room with the ability to optionally sign messages with your nostr identity 😁.
