Exploring La Jolla's Beaches - San Diego, CA We explored ALL the beaches in La Jolla while visiting San Diego, CA. We hit the La Jolla Tide Pools, Wipeout Beach, Children's Pool, Seal Rock, Scripps Park, Shell Beach, Point La Jolla (seals everywhere), La Jolla Cove, and the Sea Cave. On another day we explored La Jolla Shores Beach. We even stopped at Sunset Cliffs Natural Park Beach on our way back to the airport.

Great Hikes Around San Diego, CA We explored some great places around San Diego (mainly the La Jolla area) on foot. We hiked around the Torrey Pines Gliderport area (but didn't walk off the ledge like some crazy people there did). While there we hiked down to Black's Beach (a nude optional beach where we did NOT fit in). We hiked to the top of it all at La Jolla Heights Preserve. Then down into the depths of Annie's Canyon. Then back up again for an incredible 360-degree view atop Mount Soledad.

USS Midway CV 41 (San Diego, CA) We visited the USS Midway Museum while in San Diego. I'd been here many years ago but it is totally worth a redo. The size and scale of this ship is fascinating. As we toured the entire ship I tried to imagine what it would be like working on this ship when it was in action. But not too much because I get seasick thinking about it (wimp).

Planting A Peach Tree (DeanoFarms - Week 56) My Mom had a peach pit sprout in her compost pile. She gave it to me and it sat in a bucket for a few months. It survived until the middle of summer so I threw it in the ground. I'm using it to test out some of the gardening stuff I've been learning. My success is now in the hands of a higher power. If I pass this test maybe one day I'll have a peach to eat.

I was told of The Flippening. I was told the 'merge' would make ETH 'ultrasound money'. I had my doubts then, still do. Bitcoin is not crypto it is #Bitcoin. I have nothing against ETH it is just different (and definitely not ultrasound money). It has nothing to do with money.

Hiking Pickett CCC Memorial State Park WOW! Pickett was superb! I think this was the best state park we've visited this year. Everything we did on this visit was excellent. The 5 trails we hiked were all excellent with very interesting things to see all along the way (natural bridges, caves, streams, plants, mushrooms, waterfalls, ladders, etc.). The food was excellent (even though it was in a gas station). The stargazing was the best we've experienced in the state. The only bad thing was the bugs and that we didn't get to explore everything fully. Oh well, we'll have to go back (with some extra bug spray)!

Moving Kiddos Part 3 (Max) #moving When you have college/early adult children you quickly become an amateur mover. We did 3 moves this summer. This was #3. We moved Max in for his final year at UTK...AND MY FINAL YEAR OF PAYING FOR COLLEGE FOR A CHILD!

Sgt. Alvin C York State Historic Park We visited the home of a famous WWI hero from Tennessee. We toured a home gifted to him after the war, had a picnic at a gristmill on the river, and then went on a ranger-led auto tour of some important sites around his home. I didn't know a lot about Alvin prior to visiting this state park. I always find it more interesting to learn about things where they happened.

Cordell Hull Birthplace State Park and Bunkum Cave Cordell Hull was a famous Tennessee figure who was a lawyer and long-time politician. In this video, we visited his birthplace and I said lots of things (bad?) about lawyers and politicians. Sorry...not sorry! If you identify as either of these please skip this installment of the channel (or don't and throw shade in the comments). I got in a better mood as the day went on and we visited Bunkum Cave on the property. To Deano, caves are much better than lawyers and/or politicians. Cave FTW! Then the day took another bad turn when Emily went shopping and tried to spend all of our money! Kinda like a politician!?!
