“Internal combustion engines are useful for cutting down trees with chainsaws, but that doesn’t make a lumberjack an expert in internal combustion engine design. So why are financiers claiming to be experts in proof-of-work technologies like Bitcoin? The most they can claim to be experts in is how to use proof-of-work technologies like Bitcoin for miscellaneous financial use cases.” From Softwar by Jason Lowery

What is your spaghetti policy?
I’m not sure if Jason is on here yet, but #[0] turned me onto him a while back when he was on the podcast.
This is going to be a great read, but a long one. A chapter in and my head is spinning with….delight? Maybe that’s not the right word haha.

Not many feelings like sitting in a meeting and seeing a zap pop on my screen from a nostr post⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
Thanks #[0] ! Cafe Bitcoin on nostr nests, so cool. Everyone should check it out:

So let’s try to do what Munger so blatantly couldn’t do at looking at both sides of the Bitcoin argument. I think 99% of the people on this platform are pro-Bitcoin and believe in the long term vision, but what are the best arguments against it you have seen? And resources would be great.
I grew up playing the sax but just got a piano in the house. Thinking about trying to learn a new musical skill. Any recs/tips on learning the piano as an adult?
So do we need to start publishing books on NOSTR too? This crap is getting ridiculous:
Now the word "fat" is not allowed?.....jeez.

So I’m not super familiar with the Bitcoin maintainers. I just read this article https://www.wsj.com/articles/bitcoin-core-maintainers-crypto-7b93804 and obviously need to learn more, but a couple questions that come up in my head, what happens to Bitcoin if we stop having this small group? Obviously we tout decentralization, but isn’t that contradicted by have so few maintainers (~5?). I know there are a few Bitcoin contributors on here, including #[0] . So I feel like I’m missing something here? Anyone want to provide some clarity?
Connected #umbrel , seeing events come through. So dope. 🤙🏽
