I always really enjoy this part of starting a new project. Cleaning the mold and oxidation off to see what kind of patina is under it. Water, comet bleach, and a scotch-brite pad does the trick. I was on the fence about whether or not this truck would end up getting painted when I bought it. I’m leaning towards leaving it as is now. Here’s a couple before and afters #truckstr

I knew about live staking trees but never gave it much thought until @AC commented on one of my posts awhile back when I was propagating hybrid willow cuttings. I thought the climate I’m in would be too hot and too dry to have any success if I wasn’t tending to them daily. Well, March 4 I cut this branch off of a weeping willow growing on the creek bank and shoved it in the ground. I’ve splashed some water around it maybe once or twice a week when taking fresh water to my sheep. 3 months later its a thriving little tree. Thanks @AC 🫡

#31days FAILURE Started getting really sick on Wednesday, survived the work week then went downhill even worse over the weekend. No excuses, coulda just handled business but failed. Last time I got sick was just under 3 years ago so it was a good run. Looking forward to trying again next time 🫡

I stayed up too late last night trying to get the fancy UI flashed onto my T-deck from a google drive download. Never had any luck, the flasher would just stop at “stub running”. Not sure what I was doing wrong. Then this morning I saw @HR4BTC aka HamRadio4Bitcoin post about meshtastic releasing the firmware. Gave it a go and it worked! Next I’ll add a whip antenna. #meshtastic

I’ve been here a little over a month but all these TikTok refugees got me thinking I should probably do an #introduction I never got on TikTok, I’m more of an Instagram convert. I’ve manly used social media for car, truck and motorcycle type content. I am a Bitcoiner and I’ve know about Nostr for a while now but never bothered because I knew there wouldn’t be much gearhead stuff going on here. Gotta be the change you want to see right? I’ve never been into creating content but I want to start providing value instead of just consuming and this is the place to do it. Most of my content will be cars, bikes, fabrication and homesteading stuff. Occasionally you might see some Bitcoin and political posts. Maybe some fitness, maybe some firearms.
