Nostr Huntrs & Anglers is a place to share the stories, photos, and everyday lifestyle of hunters and anglers who cherish public lands. We celebrate the traditions of the outdoors—passed down through families—and connect a community rooted in freedom, stewardship, and wild places.
GM. Packing this tent set up for Wyoming tomorrow. The stove isn’t necessary yet but it definitely doesn’t hurt. The little things will make you stay longer.
GM. Bulls are bugling and starting to push cows today in Idaho. Best time of year. #huntstr
@Oshi (推し) I just threw this on some sourdough to try it out before I take it to camp on Friday. This stuff is ridiculously good. Seriously, great work. image
My buddy just sent me this on his property. Any bitcoiners in Texas looking for Axis management? Will zap for hunts. image
Fwiw, we switched our bird dog to Farmers Dog from “healthy” dry food. Almost an immediate change in health. He had constant ear infections and always itched which we thought was associated with him getting in the water. Turns out they were caused due to poor gut health which supported yeast growth throughout the body. Noticeable improvement in fur and weight as well. Not an ad for Farmers Dog(it’s convenient for me to just purchase rather than make myself) but whole foods in general. Although the food might cost more, we save in vet visits. Some studies show an average increase of 3+ years of lifespan compared to dry food too. That’s three more duck seasons. image
A buddy just killed his first high country velvet muley. It fell off of a cliff, broke its back forks, and stripped its velvet…gnarly. Backstory on this guy-he’s an engineer out east that does a bunch of Ultra marathons and backcountry hunts. Both are Type-2 fun events(If you know, you know). He had no exposure to Bitcoin. We went on one hunt together for spring bear this year and discussed Bitcoin. The second we got service, he downloaded @River and bought some(unfortunately lost it all when a bear ate it in his pack). I’m not sure what it is but there’s a correlation between those who pursue type-2 fun events and their willingness to learn new things. image
