Received my signed copy of The Big Print today, thank you @Lawrence Lepard! I want to share a quick story about this book because it’s really such an amazing personal experience of the power of the human connectivity supercharging Bitcoin adoption. When I started studying Bitcoin in 2020 Larry was one of the minds I latched onto right away. I went through a good stretch of watching every appearance of his I could find on YouTube. I was thrilled to meet him when I did and at the time he was someone I was starstruck to have talked to. Flash forward and we got chatting at @CdnBitcoinConf in Montreal and he took a copy of my book (which in itself was so cool). After reading it he started asking me questions about the process as he was sharing the idea for the book he wanted to write. I was fortunate to see various versions of Big Print along the way and each draft I saw I had to pinch myself that it was happening. This is the magic of Bitcoin. A decentralized movement to solve humanity’s most pressing problem. I strongly believe that any action we take creates the possibility for something greater. Today there are people out there who don’t understand bitcoin yet, that will play important roles in what is to come. Someone will be their Larry Lepard. Take action. You never know what might happen next. Larry is doing the rounds and there are tons of pods telling his story right now, but he’s our guest on TBR this week. It’s a conversation I enjoyed immensely. A friend shared this with me this morning, it’s amazing how many movies in the late 70s and early 80s were truth bombing like crazy while barely anyone was paying attention. Feels very much like this is what’s going on now. The movie is Rollover.

The Josh Mandell phenomenon has been something to watch. The skepticism and bewilderment around his underlying methodology is a broader reflection of our disconnection and disbelief in the inescapable fact that the entirety of the universe is designed in perfection. Our Western model of the universe, which emerged from Newton, assumes a physical experience constructed of separate particles, randomly smashing into each other. Everything is connected and governed by universal law. Even Bitcoin.

I read Price of Tomorrow 4 years ago and it started me on a totally different life path. Four years later we got to host @Jeff Booth as a speaker. It’s the community that makes #bitcoin unstoppable. Once you get it you are compelled to hop on board and help. Of all the change it can inspire, Im most excited about how cool it will be when that number includes the entire human race. The natural state of the human spirit is hope.

The most fucked up aspect of fiat is the financialization of everything. When you are trying to create economic energy out of thin air, the only way you can make it work is try to turn air into economic energy.
