Israel latest military orders, includes closing certain streets in the West Bank for Palestinians from 5-9am, so that illegal Jewish settlers can drive to work without seeing Palestinians. The Israeli minister of National Security announced that the life of the Jewish settlers is more important than the freedom of movement for Palestinians. For us as a university, this means that teachers and students can’t reach their classes in the morning. In addition, every now and then the Israeli military closes the main checkpoint connecting the southern part of the West Bank with the north, causing traffic jams for hours. What can we call such orders and actions other than Apartheid. image

Norway: "Israel's actions in the OCCUPIED territories are a violation of international law" “The apartheid wall is a violation of international law and makes the two-state solution difficult to achieve. Gaza Strip and the West Bank are occupied territories regardless of any Israeli withdrawal. The occupation remains temporary and cannot be continued or justified. Israel violates international law and continues to violate it. Israel must abide by international law and provide the right to self-determination to the Palestinians. Israel's actions in the occupied territories are a violation of international law. It is not legal to annex any Palestinian lands or impose a fait accompli on the ground. Establishing settlements in Palestinian territories violates Article 416 of the Geneva Convention. Israel exploits natural resources to perpetuate its occupation of Palestinian territories. Measures must be taken to prevent Israeli practices that violate international.”

the word "Bin" or "Ibni" means son of, while the word "Binti" or "Bintu" means daughter of. People born in Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore and many region in the middle east usually have these in their names, even if they are not a Muslim. Now, an odd thing is, many region in the world don't use similar suffix. Thus, when reading our passports, the officers might mistaken the Bin and Binti as our surname and call us "Mr. Bin" and "Mrs. Binti", lol. I tend not to put the "Bin" in my documents (like certifications), but for legal documents, I retain them.
