I spent last night cleaning my auntie’s bag collection while she’s in Europe. Since no one has been taking care of them, I was asked to organize and clean everything. When I opened the collection, I was shocked. So many of her beautiful bags had already been damaged by termites (“anay” in Cebuano). It was honestly heartbreaking to see because I know how valuable and well-loved they were. It’s a reminder that even the things we treasure need proper care. Such a waste, but I hope the remaining bags can still be saved.
