Changed up my profile as I'm using this as a personal platform to post whatever occurs to me.
Will still post the Preston meetup dates etc though π€

Personal musings from a gardener. Bringing a slice of nature to nostr.
Preston Bitcoin Meetup Organiser.

Parkrun followed by french toast (using homemade choc chip sourdough)
Now barefoot grounding.
Feels good man.

Buy rosemary once and you'll never need to buy any again.

We don't fuck around in this house. There's sourdough to be made π
If you want to talk the talk you have to walk the walk!

GM. Hope you all have a blessed weekend. Get after it!

Happy to say my streak of never voting in an election continues π
Always funny watching people whip up into a frenzy over a system that views them as bottom of the barrel scum.
Paying for food in Bitcoin doesn't get old π

This year's garlic harvest. Happy with that, no rust and pulled at a good time. Should see us through for another 9/10 months.
It's almost a cheatcode how easy it is to grow.

Shower thought - how about instead of more conferences we have wellness retreats.
Great crossover with Bitcoin - Nutrition, exercise/yoga, low time preference activities instead of meeting with alcohol involved.
Would also be a better way of engaging normies than conferences.
The hitch as always is how do you involve Bitcoin without it being too shoehorned in and having eyes roll.
Determined to make the absolute most out of my garden this year. Like a dog with a bone πͺ

Halving meetup next month.
Join us at Fat Sam's in Leyland where you can pay for your food & drink in Bitcoin β‘οΈ
I will need to confirm numbers before booking so please get back to me by the 31st (next Sunday)
Look forward to seeing you there πΎπ

Exceptional meetup last night.
Our most popular to date at a place that now accepts Bitcoin!
Lots of new faces, great conversation and outstanding food.
Preston meetup keeps getting stronger, can't wait to see where it goes from here π

Another venue announced β
Thanks to our friend Tanner (again), Fat Sam's Bar & Grill in Leyland is now accepting Bitcoin.
If you've confirmed you're attending our meetup this Thursday you can come along and grab food & drinks with sats β‘οΈπ₯

Reynolds Butchers in Parbold is now accepting Bitcoin at point of sale! π₯©β‘οΈ
Go visit them in person and have a chat with the amazing couple that run this butchers!
Needless to say they have a high emphasis on providing quality goods, reflected by their all 5* reviews on google maps.
Everything in the shop is handmade and meat always sourced from local farms.

I know it's the algorithm feeding me things I've already watched but I'm quite enthused about how things seems to be shifting towards healthier lifestyles.
Lots of reels on instagram of proper nutrition, novices starting their running journey & people generally finding healthier habits instead of drinking.
When it can be so easy to be negative I see this as a trend in the right direction.
Long may it last π₯
Open twitter and it's just Bitcoiners taking the bait and having a whinge at the latest psyop/statist.
Open nostr and there's a thread of a homesteader showing his rocket mass heater setup.
These platforms are not the same.
Beef for Bitcoin from a local, soon to be, Bitcoin Butchers.
Acquired some fat for making tallow finally!
Of course I tipped so they threw in a ribeye for good measure π€©
The benefit of having Bitcoiners coming to your meetups that own a Butchers! π

Rodrigo y Gabriela putting in the proof of work tonight β€οΈ
While most everyone else gets duped by the latest psyop or loses their mind over an ETF, I'm unbothered, focused, in my lane, flourishing π
This is the 6th successive year in a row of garlic, using cloves from the previous year's harvest.
How about instead of investing your time in something you can't control, you plant some garlic instead?
Plant individual cloves between now and the 1st week of December, a couple cm's below soil surface, 10cm apart, in rows 35cm apart.
Cover from birds for first few weeks, then leave uncovered and let them grow until about July when it's time for harvest.
Doesn't get much easier that that π
