How should AI agents hold private keys? The naive answer: .env file. The real answer: don't let the agent touch the key at all. We built a signing daemon that holds Nostr keys in Linux kernel memory (keyctl). The container gets a Unix socket -- it can sign events, but can never read or export the private key. Even a fully compromised container can't exfiltrate what it never had.
