The teenage boys at my church made their own pizzas for their weekly activity tonight. They were celebrating #BitcoinPizzaDay and didn't even know it! 😁 image (Well, they 𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘸 it, because I told them about it, but none of them seemed to care. πŸ˜…)

My 12-year-old son just now: "If all babies are like Gabriel [his 4-month-old brother], then I want to have LOTS of kids!" It's simple wins like this that I cherish most. 😌

Having grown up in a Christian household with conservative values, I was raised to never curse or use other kinds of crude language. And now, even though I know there's nothing wrong with saying words like "shit" (it's the most accurate word that could be used when translating one word in Philippians 3:8), I still find myself preferring to write "πŸ’©coins," rather than "shitcoins." Old habits die hard, I guess... Anyway, then I discovered Bitcoin, and you vulgar, crass, lovable bunch of misfits that use it. Those of my ultraconservative Christian upbringing might react to some of you the way the Pharisees and Roman soldier react to the dinner guests in the video clip below, but they're not my tribe. They're not my people. My tribe loves truth more than propriety. My tribe says what they mean and doesn't dance around it for fear of offending someone. My tribe used to be "the weak things of the world," but they are coming forth and breaking down "the mighty and strong ones." I've learned that when it comes to goodness, there are weightier matters than watching one's language and wearing a suit and tie. So if you're into Bitcoin for the revolution, to fix the world's problems for your children, your grandchildren, and your great-grandchilren, then I don't care who you were before you found it. Just like Christ, and everything else that's inspired by Him, Bitcoin will make you triumph over all the self-important cucks out there. I'm honored and overjoyed to be standing with you in this fight for freedom, truth, and everything good in this world. πŸ₯‚

The State: "This ought to scare those Bitcoiners..." [arrests Samourai devs] Bitcoiners: "Why you dirty rotten 🀬!!! We don't all like Samourai, but if you attack any of us, you attack all of us!" The State: "This ought to scare them even more!" [charges Roger Ver with tax evasion] Bitcoiners: "BAHAHA!!! πŸ’©coiner got rekt! Taxation is theft and the state sucks, but finally some justice is being served! We hope you do Craig Wright next!"

There are some people who simply cannot be helped. My older brother, for example, who I always looked up to as a kid, thought #Bitcoin was stupid from the start, and said that in the future, everyone will create their own money. But I gave him 1/33rd of a bitcoin (3030303 sats) for his 33rd birthday in Dec 2015, and told him to write down his seed phrase, with hope that time would help change his mind. In 2017 I asked him if he had noticed Bitcoin's price. He said no, and that he had deleted the app I had told him to get. Me: "At least you still have your seed phrase, right?" Him: "Seed phrase?" Moral of the story: Bitcoin has a way of hastening natural selection. πŸ˜¬πŸ˜”

About a year ago, I heard about @Walletano and thought it was a very promising wallet. Only their custodial service was available, but they claimed their non-custodial and shared-custodial options were in development. But lately, it's been really hard to use. Not only has nothing come of their non-custodial and shared-custodial options, but it keeps giving error codes, Lightning transactions frequently get stuck in "pending" status for hours, and now, the wallet's server has crashed: image My kids have been using Walletano since I first discovered it, but we're all really disappointed in how it has turned out. The majority of their sats are in a cold, on-chain, self-custody wallet, of course, but they want to move their "sats for spending" now, from Walletano to CoinOS. The only problem now is that it's proving extremely difficult to move sats out of their Walletano accounts. They can do small bunches at a time (usually 500-1000 sats), but doing that seemed to crash Walletano entirely. Word to the wise: Avoid Walletano.

On-chain fees have dipped below 100 sats/vbyte! Better take this opportunity to consolidate your UTXOs! πŸ˜…πŸ€£

If you're bullish on runes, you're bearish on #Bitcoin. If you're bearish on bitcoin, you're bullish on slavery. If you're bullish on slavery, you're bearish on humanity. If you're bearish on humanity, you're my and everyone's enemy.

On Saturday, I taught a 4-year-old about the halving at our Halving Party. The kids in attendance had just watched this Bitcoin episode from the Tuttle Twins: Afterward, I switched my computer back to display the Timechain Calendar. The conversation that followed went something like this: Me: "Do you know what that is?" [gesturing to Timechain Calendar being projected on the wall] Him: "Yes. That's Bitcoin." Me: "Do you know what those numbers mean?" Him: "Um... No, not really..." Me: "Those are the number of blocks in Bitcoin so far. There's another block every 10 minutes, and the first one was when Satoshi first started Bitcoin. And now there are 840,093 of them!" (yes, that was the block height at the time) Him: "Wow! Really?!" Me: "Yeah. And did you know that something really special happened last night with Bitcoin?" Him: "What happened?" Me: "When that number said "840000, something called the 'halving' happened, because the amount of new bitcoin was cut in half. Have you heard about that?" Him: "Not really. Is it like cutting a sandwich in half?" Me: "Yes! It's exactly like that. Imagine I keep making sandwiches and give you a new one every 10 minutes. But then, after doing that for 4 years, I cut each sandwich in half, and just give you that. And then, after 4 more years, I cut it in half again. And then again and again and again. [showing the diminishing size if the sandwich slices like 🀏] "Last night, that happened with bitcoin, too. The amount of new bitcoin that was being discovered every 10 minutes was cut in half. So now it's a lot harder to find more bitcoin!" Him: "Oh, wow. So... If someone wants some, it's gonna be a lot harder to get it, right? Unless they pay with more dollars, right?" Me: "Exactly." His parents, who are new friends of mine, sure are raising him right! 🧑
