My family and I just got back from Christmas carolling. The love and appreciation felt by our neighbors was palpable! One old man tearfully told us that he didn't think anyone did things like that anymore, and our surprise visit to his doorstep gave him more hope for the future. Whether or not you've gone Christmas carolling before, I highly recommend it!

We played a 3-hour game of Cities and Knights of Catan earlier this evening. Settlers are like pilgrims, so it's a bit of a Thanksgiving tradition for us to play it as a family. I lost, in absolute last place, but my 12-year-old son won, and we all had a great time, so I'd say it was a complete success. GN
