The American right may want to elect a convicted felon as president, but somehow I think the rest of the world may have to weigh in on that issue. It's about time they spoke up.

Is Roger Stone really going to escape all of this? Really? I want that shit stain skinned alive so I can use his Nixon tattoo for a bathmat. Is that wrong? image

I bet Truth Social is pretty entertaining right now. But not on purpose.

Good morning. 45 consecutive fires set with the lincoln-log method over seven seasons. Not one failure. I loved my father dearly, but his hit-or-miss tri-log method wasted dozens of hours of my life. I've forgiven him. image

The definition of “confounding” should read: a state of perplexed confusion when trying to understand people who still find Glenn Greenwald important or defensible. “

I've never seen this before. Seagulls hovered over dry land for like 15 minutes then one by one, landed but didn't seem to be eating anything. What explains this Behavior? image

The fact that this farce even got this far is why I’m often tempted to resign my commission to the human race. I feel like Admiral Stockdale: “Why am I here?” Source: @npub1fvvk...yw2w image

Reading those who insist that the fediverse and its future belong mostly to the pioneering demographic that helped to build it help me understand why so many conservatives always harken back to the “founding fathers.” There’s an illusion of authenticity created by predicating arguments on historical antecedence, despite having little if any relevance to our present reality. I am sure it’s one of many logical fallacies I can never remember the name of.

This is an excellent brief description of our problems and our opportunity. Interesting that he chose the words ” open social media platforms” to describe the decentralized firmament, rather than “fediverse.” Source: @npub1gh7d...dcv0 image

As the Twitter migrations fade, I wish we could discuss how we might evolve the fediverse as something less an alternative to big social, than a parallel social universe. One is useful for widely broadcasting ideas, news and opinion to millions, many of whom will have the IQ of a learning-disabled mollusk, while the other is better suited to discussing those same things. They are completely different ecosystems that can and should thrive independently of each other, but interoperate as needed.

I got sucked into watching the first three episodes of #Beef on Netflix. It's nice to see that a mostly Asian cast can make such unappealing characters, too. Does it get any better?

Have you prepared yourself for a second Trump term? The more the media talks about it, the more likely it becomes.

Good morning. Morning Joe is actually exhibiting No Labels hysteria. Maybe he'll have @npub1f7tg...0ml8 and @npub17ffx...mqym on tomorrow to explain it all to him. And maybe I'll discover I'll discover my hernia is really a pregnancy. .

Driving back to the island I stumbled on Megan Kelly's show on Sirius XM. The whole show was on a new book about, believe it or not, Rev. Jeremiah Wright and the Obamas (author always refers to them as 'Barack and Michelle.'). I kid you not. It was preposterous fabulism from end-to-end. Kelly was "concerned" for our democracy.
