There is no fixing this. When your eyes are blinded by words and your ears are deaf to the truth there is no chance. I can't even have this conversation... Conversation with someone today... Charlie Kirk’s murder was televised for a week and the flags were lowered to half staff. The president spoke out and he received honors that most civilians will never get. He had a large following that was one sided , but he was not an elected official so I wouldn’t call it a national tragedy. What I didn’t agree with was his views on DEI and how he made it a black issue. As a leader or someone who has a following, you have a responsibility to educate based on your views, but also understand your views will also inspire others to action. In that way he was not MLK. He spoke out against blacks and the LGBTQ movement which caused division amongst the community. There’s been 2 hangings in Mississippi since his death and this is 2025. He had these views and aligned himself with a president who hates democrats. I support our president even if I don’t support his views, but when so called leaders divide more than unite, there will be mixed feelings about the life they lived. Also in case you were wondering Proclamation 3839β€”Death of Martin Luther King, Jr. Now, Therefore, I, Lyndon B. Johnson, President of the United States, do call upon all Americans to observe Sunday next, the seventh day of April, as a day of national mourning throughout the United States. In our churches, in our homes, and in our private hearts, let us resolve before God to stand against divisiveness in our country and all its consequences. I direct that until interment the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff on all buildings, grounds and naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions.
