As a retired National Guardsman the only time that I was unarmed was when I had to go through metal detectors. Every parade, every public appearance, every weekend... The right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed... SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED! I hope every guardsman who swore an oath to the Constitution follows suit. BTW, I was never issued a weapon to protect myself. For I have the unaliable right to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness... I suggest you all do the same, though I guess my last unit is now sitting ducks as I was probably the last person to do so.
