there isn't much verbal consent involved the first time two lovers kiss. no one asks anyone. there is just a sudden pause in the conversation, looks of desire, and then...
body language is a language. it can be used to express consent but also dissent.
if you lean in for a kiss and the other person turns their face down or away, that means "no", for example.
maybe some people have to say words and hear words to get the message across though, because they're not good at reading body language.

all these people complaining about the system, but they're too busy and introverted to create a better one together

typical channer language
no, it's not only true of men.
this is a personality type and it exists in women too, but manifests in different ways.
in MBTI terms they are ExTJ types. extrovert thinkers with a judging (decisive) as opposed to perceiving (pondering) personality. the opposite of the thinker is the feeler.
and in Big Five (OCEAN) terms, they're low in neuroticism (high in emotional stability).
the Myers-Briggs tests were originally designed for recruiting women into the workforce in wartime. having little prior job experience, businesses needed a way to categorise them.
the way i view it, it takes all types to run a society. and even if you're emotional, there are ways of being so in a secure way.
as for being easily swayed by the opinions of others, the opposite of that is to refuse to listen and turn into an authoritarian maniac. not good either.

if you hear something often enough, from people around you, or from your own inner monologue, you start believing it after a while.
it doesn't matter how smart you are. this affects everyone to some extent.
be careful about what you feed into your brain.
it's fine to be a bit self critical at times but you gotta watch that, because it can turn into a self-fulfilling prophecy if you keep saying something about yourself.
your thoughts aren't a playground. they are what define your beliefs.
some of the NEETs aren't so different from old grumpy men
i think some socially dysfunctional people end up using hostility as a cope.
i thought it was a schedule

i'd describe that as more of a kink than a belief system

ah thanks

i both can and cannot relate to feeling homesick
when economists talk about the environment instead of money, they're actually being on topic for once.
the idea that high income and high profit equals high productivity is a big lie.
poor country problems:
- war
- famine
- poverty
rich country problems:
- depression
- burnout
- loneliness
"i can fix her."
