the vast majority of welfare applicants didn't get to that point because they wanted to "freeload" i rely on welfare. i can think too. i worked as a computer programmer. it burned me out. i don't know what to do next. i'm 100% reliant on welfare. this shit sometimes happens to people.
"i just like listening to you talk" happens sometimes bur it goes both ways. if i like listening to someone talk, what do they need back?
women don't really have to talk to men. women are usually not in shortage of attention in general. so, going off logic here, if they're talking to a man, there is at least a bit of curiosity for the other sex there, if not intent. i'm thinking this is fair enough to just state outright.
irl, i never had anything like a nerdy friend circle. the town was too small. 0 of the nerds were girls. just too few people. people who are born in bigger towns and cities had more opportunities there. i was a bit unlucky.
if a girl attempted to explain the rules of D&D and the 12-sided dice to me, i might have to take a step back to cool my head down a little.

the inn keeper that lets the hero character in your computer game sleep there overnight is usually about 40 and that's my age too. so i'm kind of there mentally i guess.
my problem isn't that i'm bad at reading body language. it's more that i can intensely read it, and it can make me nervous.
there isn't much verbal consent involved the first time two lovers kiss. no one asks anyone. there is just a sudden pause in the conversation, looks of desire, and then... body language is a language. it can be used to express consent but also dissent. if you lean in for a kiss and the other person turns their face down or away, that means "no", for example. maybe some people have to say words and hear words to get the message across though, because they're not good at reading body language.
