Especially for those that got in early or hold a lot of expendable capital, they can get quite wealthy But what Bitcoin can also do for everyone on the planet, regardless of how wealthy you are, is teach you how to ask the right questions and demand more. What is money? Why is my time being stolen? How can I preserve my wealth? How can I live more free, and in better harmony with myself and my family? Maybe I will dream more, and open that business! Sometimes I feel overwhelmed at the things I would’ve done different in life, what I would’ve changed, not done, done instead, etc But then I remember, and am so grateful that I’ve learned a lot to live, do, and act in what I feel is a healthy, productive way and have learned lessons in my low 30s that some never learn in their entire life. I will sometimes get “you’re not progressive, some of your talking points sound right wing!” Yes, I’m sure they do coming from the new progressive camp in the U.S. that is pro state socialism and central authorities in everything to solve their problems. That is antithetical to the values I have and the way I live my life. It is what I fight against. And these days more than even we have the tools we need to be self-sovereign at the individual and community level. I agree with Jack about the principles of nostr being spot on. It feels like the right endeavor and approach at the protocol layer. The frustration for users is that it isn’t a social media app or protocol as they may think. It’s an open source communication and identifier protocol, and it grows as fast as the use-cases and tools appear over time. This could be years or decades. But it feels good, on principle, in a sea of centralized, corrupt, and misaligned incentives to be here building and engaging in nostr. Keep going!
