After now spending about equal time on nostr and on the fediverse (about a year) I think i can make a somewhat educated observation:
The fediverse is WAY more likely to self censor and has a way narrower corridor of acceptable opinions which leads to a bit of a echo chamber... a more cozy one, but an echo chamber nonetheless.
Nostr on the other hand is more... uhm... "unrefined", but in my personal opinion it feels much more alive.
I think I will peek back into the fediverse now and then, but nostr is definitively my "new permanent home".
My wife is my savior: A paste of Thai basil, tons of garlic and sesame oil did more to lessen the pain of the "Hand Mouth Foot Disease" blisters in my mouth than anything the local pharmacy had to offer... I would say this is a win for Vietnamese home remedies...

I am now toying around with #EasyOS for a couple of hours and I find it great. The user interface for sure is a bit "retro", but I don't see this as a bad thing.
What fascinates me the most is the container centric (it has its own container engine) and layered filesystem centric design... well, let's just say it invites to tinker with it. At the moment i am trying to build a Netsurf single application container for it.
Whoa, just stumbled upon a thread on "the orange website" about EasyOS, a fork from a fork of Puppy Linux by one of the original authors. He labels it as an experimental Linux distribution and, well, it's hella experimental in the way that it departs a lot from the trodden paths...
I guess I have a new rabbit hole to dig into...
Arriving at home just at the right moment to observe son and cat sharing catfood... well, you can't argue about taste I guess
Ok, so far so good: After now spending hours more diving into the documentation i am eager to try out some little project on the #internetcomputer, in theory it could really be a nice replacement for aws...
I am - after a long pause - again looking into the whole #internetcomputer / #icp / #dfinity ecosystem and even after spending now a couple of hours reading through documentation I am not entirely sure if this is such a great thing as they claim or just a more complicated serverless solution...
Halfway through the first day after sick leave and i am very positively surprised: Everything worked as intended, no major catastrophes... to make it short: At the moment I am a happy little admin
Sooo, last day of sick leave over, i am feeling great and i am somewhat looking forward to go back to the office... let's see if my enthusiasm survives the first contact with the newly arrived support tickets tomorrow 😂
Nothing beats the feeling of waking up in the morning after nearly two days of constant puking and feeling just RIGHT again...
I love my son, but sometimes I think he is a biological weapon disguised as a toddler... it all started with him throwing up in the night from friday to Saturday, when he was fine again, next was yesterday my wife with the same symptoms and last night he got me.
Now i am sitting here, hailing the gods of the porcelain and beg them to just end my suffering while my wife doesn't hide the fact how amused she is about her whiny man..

Sooo... #monday again. But this monday is a bit different for me: I have an interesting project to work on, have reached my personal "all time" record of staying #sober for more than three weeks (and will keep going) and - without knowing why - i am feeling great!
