The city of Miami’s decision to postpone the scheduled November 2025 election to 2026 without voter approval was unconstitutional, Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal has ruled, siding with a lower court. 🇺🇸 On Thursday, the appellate court handed down its ruling in the lawsuit filed by mayoral candidate Emilio González, who sued last month after the Miami City Commission voted 3-2 to postpone the election to 2026 via ordinance, rather than through a ballot referendum.
“Let this be a warning to every politician in Miami: the days of corruption without consequence are over,” González said in a statement.🇺🇸

Yesterday‘s weak jobs report was what we all predicted would happen based on the Trump administration‘s recent nonsensical economic policies. Because the Trump administration put in place tariffs when Americans were already having difficulty affording the existing prices that had increased from Covid era inflation Americans started cutting back on spending. And it’s expected logically that Americans will continue to cut back on spending as the Trump administration’s economic policies are going to increase prices even higher and higher over the next several years. 🇺🇸
American companies are predictably cutting back on hiring because Americans are spending less and so we saw yesterday’s expected weak jobs report. Based on the Trump administration‘s current economic policies, we can expect the situation to continue to get worse as prices continue to increase from the Trump tariffs plus inflation that is going to increase over the next couple of years from the Trump administration’s massive spending bill that was passed last month. If the Fed cuts interest rates now inflation will likely significantly increase even more over the next few years. 🇺🇸

Why is ICE violating the rights of US citizens? The Trump Administration is clearly mishandling immigration reform and needs to be checked by Congress.🇺🇸 US citizen and Army veteran spent three days in jail after being illegally arrested in California immigration raid 🇺🇸 George Retes, 25, who works as a security guard for the Glass House Farms in Camarillo, was arrested and then released three days later without being charged with a crime. He said federal agents never allowed him a chance to contact a lawyer or his family during his detention.
Contact your Republican and Democrat members of Congress at 202-224-3121 to voice your concerns, more than 80% are up for reelection next year and should hear from concerned American citizens. 🇺🇸
US citizens whose rights as Americans are being violated by ICE should file a lawsuit against the Trump Administration. 🇺🇸

Tariffs are likely to drive up U.S. prices even with the Trump Administration’s trade deals 🇺🇸 Americans have already cut back on spending on travel because of the Trump Administration’s previous tariffs. What will Americans cut back on next? Price hikes are not "instantaneous", economists warn that consumers should brace for even higher prices on a range of goods, from leather products and clothing to electronics and automobiles, later this year. 🇺🇸

Tariffs likely to drive up U.S. prices even with Trump trade deals, experts say
With the Trump administration setting 15% as a floor for tariffs, companies and economists are warning of higher prices later this year.
