Those who would trade liberty for security deserve neither.
You can see the small part of your money that ends up in the pockets of politicians through their arrogance and luxurious lifestyle. Most of the public money disappears without a trace, which is why it is not irritating because it is simply not in sight. That money should have ended up in hospitals, schools, roads; more or less everywhere because we live in de facto socialism where the state has taken over all the key functions of social services. Whoever starts ranting about "neoliberal capitalism" is either muddying the waters or doesn't know what he's talking about. All that you get back from the state could be 80-90% cheaper if you paid directly for these services on the free market when corruption and "installation costs" are taken away. In this way, the welfare state is a service for the enrichment of politicians and bureaucrats who are not satisfied just to take your money, but want to, under the threat of institutional violence, make your life difficult, complicated, bitter and more expensive at every step. #socialism #corruption #bureaucrats #politicians

It is incredible how much the current elite at the head of the European Commission, as well as most members of the EU parliament, distrust the market and fundamental human freedoms. All they need to do is abolish a series of regulations and encourage member states to lower taxes that hinder private investment. Instead, they do the opposite - solemnly announce that they will be investors with your money. What could possibly go wrong? Is it time to say clearly that the people who run the European Union have no idea what they are doing? Although I am no longer sure whether they are really doing this out of total ignorance or whether we are dealing with ordinary robbers. Let us remember, they have already done a very similar thing in 2020 and 2021 when they first imposed lockdowns, and then billions of doses of vaccines, all of which we have paid for (and are still paying for) through the constant rise in the prices of basic goods. Without a doubt, individuals have become very rich on this. This is a very similar thing now and will very likely have the same results. View quoted note →
Another component of the reason why there is no private investment in Europe is that it is not a good environment for investors. Taxes on profits, and in some countries on wealth, are simply too big an obstacle. Investment means the expectation of profit, and profit is seen in Europe as something undesirable and harmful, something to be suppressed, and the legislation in European countries is completely dedicated to this goal. So we have come to the point where the state, or rather the supranational institution of the European Union, has become the largest investor. Politicians love it, bureaucrats love it for very clear reasons - they are the ones who choose the winners and losers. They are the ones who decide who to make rich. This, of course, also opens up space for numerous abuses and corruption that are an inevitable part of such a social organization where politicians and their bureaucrats choose the winners and losers in the market. Another inevitable consequence is inefficiency. Expecting that such an investment model will bear the desired fruit and produce something that will truly be able to compete on the global market is like planting a corn seed, concrete the ground in that spot, and then expecting a plant to sprout through the concrete. Europe is lagging behind in AI innovation, that much is clear to everyone. But what is apparently not clear to EU politicians and bureaucrats are the reasons why Europe is lagging behind. It is not because Europeans are less smart or less enterprising than Americans and Chinese. It is more because such investments are much riskier in Europe than elsewhere. When private individuals invest their money in something, they want to have enough assurance that, if the investment is successful, they will be able to make a profit from it. The European market is highly regulated and it is very difficult to train new AI models while respecting the existing regulations imposed by Brussels. #EU #AI View quoted note →
Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission, announced at an event called the AI Action Summit that she would "mobilize" 200 billion euros in "investment in AI in Europe" and boasted that it was "the largest public-private partnership in the world to build a trusted AI industry." Although she wisely used the word "mobilization," what she really meant was that the ECB would print or issue new money for this purpose. This initial 200 billion will certainly quickly become much larger sums because that's how public-private partnerships work in practice - costs increase. But even if they were to stay at that 200 billion, that would still be a pretty solid pressure of new money on the European market that would certainly increase inflation. #EU #ECB #inflation
Last year, 4.6 billion packages entered the European Union, in which the value of the purchased goods did not exceed 150 euros, which means that 12 million such parcels enter every day. We can draw key information from this: - The European Commission (EC) believes that it is not taking enough money from its citizens, so it will also start taxing small parcels, those under the value of 150 euros that it has not previously taxed with customs - Chinese online shopping services are being targeted in particular - The EC justifies this move with environmental protection 🤔 - In addition to customs duties, the EC will also charge a special fee for the customs officer who will have to process all these parcels - The EC calls on member states to adopt the proposed legal reform as soon as possible so that it can extract money from their citizens sooner. Journalists present this as some kind of salvation because they believe that it is very bad that people buy cheaper things when they could buy more expensive ones. They call it a harmful practice that the European Commission will finally prevent. It is interesting how journalists like to criticize Trump for allegedly provoking trade wars with tariffs, while at the same time supporting protectionism and tariffs of the European Union. The Trump administration has temporarily suspended tariffs on packages from China due to the inability to collect taxes on the millions of packages that arrive in the US every day. This "temporary" measure will probably become permanent. However, the EU is terribly persistent and there are no practical obstacles for European bureaucrats when it comes to taxing its citizens. Such policies are always presented as a fight against those evil foreign companies, in this case China's Temu, but in reality they are aimed solely at extracting money from Europeans, impoverishing Europeans through trade and labor restrictions, and expanding bureaucracy. #EU #EC #bureaucracy #Trump #China #Temu #taxation #tariffs #media #bureaucrats
The announcement by the Japanese that they will open a Toyota and Lexus factory in America should not surprise anyone. The Japanese have long had a labor shortage problem, and they are not inclined to immigrate. Last year, because of the auto industry, they had to increase immigration quotas and change the law. On the other hand, Detroit's unemployment rate is 10% and with tax cuts announced, it's a good business decision. It will be more profitable for the Japanese to manufacture in the US than at home. Trump played it well, but it's no miracle. Biden could have gotten the same if he had just agreed to cut the corporate tax. #Trump #Biden #US #Japan #Detroit #Toyota #Lexus
Trump may not be able to articulate his demands well, so he comes off as blabbering for no reason, but there seems to be something real behind it. The EU levies a 10% tariff on American car imports, while the US levies a 2.5% tariff on European car imports. Now, under the threat of a trade war, European bureaucrats are considering a correction. #Trump #EU #tariffs #US #bureaucrats

The basic problem of "transformers" (transgender children by treatment) in relation to all previous youth rebellions and collective hysteria is that it is impossible for them to get out of it without serious consequences. A man easily changes his hairstyle, puts a shirt over a lascivious tattoo, goes from lsd to coffee and tea, pretends that he was always against the measures, puts on the uniform of the victorious army, and he is back in the mainstream after a wrong assessment or a youthful rebellion and with the occasional inconvenience when someone reminds him of his past, he still lives less and less as if it never happened. But they permanently crippled themselves and put their lives on a path of no return. And now that the madness is finally subsiding, I think we can expect quite an explosion of very angry and very unhappy people who, in moments of weakness, allowed themselves to be swayed by wrong decisions by the people they trusted the most, and now they see that they have nowhere to go. I wouldn't be in their shoes, but I wouldn't be in the shoes of those who did it to them either, I'm primarily thinking of munchausen by proxy parents and doctors who quickly and better carried out these treatments before those kids had time to think about the things they were doing to themselves. There will be a lot of destructive and vindictive behavior, perhaps completely justified. #transgender #hysteria #madness #woke
If you were wondering how it is that all mainstream media sound the same - the US government through USAID funded more than 6,000 journalists, about 700 media agencies and about 300 civil associations that deal with media publishing in about 30 countries. The dog does not bark for the village, but for himself! :) Here's the real reason why journalists are so angry with Musk - he froze their funding from the pockets of American taxpayers. It is interesting how all these offices and foundations, which supposedly support "independent journalism" and "free reporting" were focused exclusively on financing left-wing media that will serve them for their propaganda. This is the most ordinary fraud and robbery of taxpayers. #US #Media #journalism image
You are born to die; there is not much philosophy there. Have you loved, cried, kissed in the grain of time you deserve? Have you lived? That is the question. image
