Those who would trade liberty for security deserve neither.

Notes (11)

People think that the failure of socialist policies in New York will help the population of that city, and indeed the entire USA, to learn how harmful such policies are and to never choose them again. I wouldn't bet on it. They will blame the state and Trump for every failure, and people will believe them - not because it makes much sense, but because they want to believe it. This is the biggest deception of socialism - it offers hope to the masses who are lazy and have no desire to work honestly, who would steal if it were possible and allowed, so they are looking for a state that will do it for them. That dream is strong and it is difficult for people to give it up. That is why socialist states last for a very long time despite the fact that they never, even at the beginning, bring prosperity. It's failure after failure, but the authorities always have a scapegoat - America. If Cuba and Venezuela, which have completely impoverished their population, manage to shift the blame to America for decades and their population believe it, then Mamdani will be able to do it too. So I'm not sure Americans will learn a lesson quickly. I would even bet that this is a new trend that will spread even further. The greatest luck for opponents of socialism in the US is that this man does not have the conditions to run for president of the country, otherwise it would be very tense in 3 years. image

Regardless of whether the story of the Spartans is completely true or not, in our time we chronically lack courage, pride, strength, honor, and walking the path of truth regardless of the consequences... image

State shares in Europe are growing.. "Socialism begins at a state share of 50%." - Helmut Kohl - A high state share means: Higher taxes (on income, profits, additional labor costs). - More regulation and bureaucracy. - Less flexibility for small businesses because the state has a stronger influence on economic activities. -If a country has a high state share (e.g. 51%), more than half of the total economic output passes through the hands of the state. -With a low state share (e.g. 30%), most of the economy remains privately organized. The state share measures the ratio of government expenditures to GDP and indicates the size of the public sector and the degree of state influence. Higher values carry risks such as crowding out private investment. Welcome to #socialism image

I'm currently listening to Rogan's podcast with Elon Musk where they talk about what a person would do if they never had to work again in the future. It's sad but I have to admit that I don't know. I don't know what I enjoy. I'm so caught up in work that I've forgotten how to enjoy life. Is anyone else going through something similar??? Think about it for a second...

The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read or write, but those who cannot unlearn the many lies they have been taught to believe. You have been lied to about everything

At first glance, it’s an ordinary family photo taken in 1902: a mother, father, and their little daughter. But within this frame lies one of the most extraordinary legacies in the history of science. The mother is Maria Skłodowska Curie — the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and the only person in the world to win two in different fields: for physics (1903) and chemistry (1911). Her discoveries about radioactivity revolutionized medicine, physics, and our understanding of the atom. Standing next to her is Pierre Curie, her husband and research collaborator. Together with Henri Becquerel, he won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1903, laying the foundations for modern atomic science. And the little girl in Marie’s arms? That’s Irène Joliot-Curie, who was destined to continue her parents’ legacy. Growing up in a home where discoveries were part of everyday life, she became an extraordinary scientist herself. In 1935, she won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry with her husband Frédéric Joliot-Curie for the discovery of artificial radioactivity. One photo. Three faces. Four Nobel Prizes. Incredible. image
