I've seen this data being shared and have a question. It states that the ccp are holding 190,000 BTC and from what I remember this number is also roughly the amount that was seized from the Plus Token ponzi scam in 2019. Is this current supposed China govt holding, that is still being widely shared as being valid, based on that seizure? If not, from where is a 190,000BTC figure being based on? It was a big story in 2019/2020 and there was, I thought, fairly conclusive evidence at that time, that most of that seized coin, as well as other crypto, was quite quickly sold by the government in China. Any one with a thought on this? Don't Trust, Verify Some research that was done back in 2019/2020 in these two articles linked below. I'm not claiming that the research should be considered conclusive fact but it does question the total amount of BTC involved and what happened to the coin particularly through Huobi and OKex. It seems the oxtresearch website is now offline, likely due to the fact that it was associated with Samourai Wallet “legal” issues. Two archived pages are still available below. @Samson Mow https://archive.ph/8Jvhr https://archive.ph/SK5zA
Some recent thoughts as I read and ponder …… “The more capitalism advances, Schumpeter argued, the more entrepreneurs will be replaced by bureaucratically-minded managers. The sense of property, which is so central to capitalist society, will also grow weaker as solid property is replaced by mere shares.” I have questions: Does capitalism have the need of being defended? Has capitalism veered into corporatism/state capitalism either as part of a “natural” process, as a result of concerted effort by socialist/Marxian powers or by a combination of both? Is it fair to characterise the “businessman” today as a somewhat naive player? Only concerned with money, he has become lazy in appreciating that his actions might be the very seeds that are sowing the end of core capitalist function? Does capitalism require a class of warrior protectors in some ways akin to the way warrior aristocrats protected the institutions of feudal society? Would these warriors defending capitalism be a billionaire class? Then I start to think about the corn......🤔 A bit ambient, I know, but I’d be the first to admit my intellectual shortcomings. image
“The state, I call it, where all are poison-drinkers, the good and the bad: the state, where all lose themselves, the good and the bad: the state, where the slow suicide of all — is called "life." Just see these superfluous ones! They steal the works of the inventors and the treasures of the wise. Culture, they call their theft — and everything becometh sickness and trouble unto them! Just see these superfluous ones! Sick are they always; they vomit their bile and call it a newspaper. They devour one another, and cannot even digest themselves.” ― Friedrich Nietzsche, Thus Spoke Zarathustra
“The Russian authorities have banned Russians from reposting bloggers who have less than 10 thousand subscribers, and the "ten-thousanders" themselves were obliged to report themselves to Roskomnadzor.“ Is this legit information....anyone? Is this a model that will soon be emulated in Europe for Europeans?
Report from the year 2000. As migration/immigration/emigration is at the forefront of much debate at the moment....... There are notable omissions from the list of countries analysed but given the power dynamics of the modern UN this might not be surprising 😉 The report is named "Replacement Migration" which is sure to elicit a certain interpretation. 😬 https://digitallibrary.un.org/record/412547?v=pdf
