Cracking sail yesterday. Anyone who sails will know how hard it is to maintain high speeds. And keep in mind this is just the misses and I sailing this old girl, she’s isn’t a fully crewed race boat. Man she sails well and what’s really cool is that she was designed during a time of proof of work. Before computers and fluid dynamics. She was born out of experience out of time on the sea. She was designed around what a person had experienced using different hull shapes and lengths, trial and error so to speak. As someone that’s crossed many oceans on many types of boats I can attest that her design is near on perfect for a shorthanded performance cruiser. She helms like she’s on rails and just boogies like there’s no tomorrow 💃 Here’s the numbers. Don’t trust verify!

Had a fat sail yesterday as we made our way north. This boat truly amazes me as she has the ability to run what we call deep wind angles and at good speed. She’s got an incredibly efficient hull shape and it takes very little to get her moving. Here’s a screenshot with some numbers from our passage.

Mother Nature, the gift that keeps on giving. Every morning she paints a different picture upon the horizon for all to see and all she asks for in return is our consciousness ❤️🌏 How simple elegant and beautiful is that 🙏 don’t complicate life. It’s far better consumed with simple ingredients.
