we’ve got photorealistic photo and video generation
and I remember lots of people really feared we’ll see some crazy fakes like of presidents saying / doing something believable that could manipulate most people into whatever
but most people end up being manipulated already so deeply that very few can actually get to the bottom of it and have guts to question everything they got to believe in since childhood
so that front facing manipulation would literally be too much in people’s faces and quite easy to debunk also and it’s exactly where the power lies -
no amount of debunking helps right now to dismantle corrupt governments, institutions, banks, money

primal is still the best client?
let’s check back in a year or couple 🫡
looks like we’re still early
too early actually
but it’s great to see the progress
been a while
gm
how many of “jeff booth” do we have out here

found out there's primal on web accidentally
in general, it feels kinda fake when you’re interacting with all these pseudonyms instead of people like on twitter
Is it essential to hide our identities on nostr? Are we really in danger yet?
Don’t think any government will go after us for sending a few sats back and forth
Realizing it’s quite tedious to find people to follow on nostr, everyone is anonymous here, how do we network?
Any lists of essential follows on nostr?

I think there’s a lot we can learn from web3 (I know) projects.
I love how they’re trying to escape the boring look of typical corporate giants, bootstrapping nature
and there are some good ideas hiding behind all these airdrops and nfts - and it aligns in many ways with what we’re here for with bitcoin
over time as bitcoin growths in terms of user adoption, ease of use and being an obvious go to solution for things other than money transfer, which is now getting far already with nostr - that’s where real growth and adoption happens.
Check out this product built for ETH L2 for example hypersub.withfabric.xyz - it’s better than L2 alternatives in every way.
This is how we should win people over, instead of telling them here is a link to 50 lightning wallets, some of them work on android only etc and then pick the one that works for you - but people need the basics - send and receive bitcoin, it’s that simple.
I haven’t seen a wallet yet that’s intuitive, that’s probably the reason Primal built another one into the app.
Now as I’m not a very active nostr user recently I still got like 3 places where I can have sats + a cashu thing
We’d benefit from just collaborating on an open source single wallet we can point people to with intent to make it the simplest + can offer small incentives with a few sats at least to learn more about the underlying technology, on off ramps etc.
Right now people install wallet of satoshi, primal or whatever but how to send actual sats to it? Big big question for people unfamiliar, unless someone else who already have it sends it.
But since bitcoin is limited in supply and be more mainstream I’d expect on off ramps to be a bit less relevant over time.
Ok wrapping up this long post haha just sharing thoughts after Day 1 of bitcoin atlantis
