If you're wondering why I unfollowed you, it's because I moved you into a private list. Also, consider not calculating your value as a person based on whether or not a cheese packet unfollowed you. If you're wondering why I followed you again, it's because most of the interesting stuff is still working with public lists and I need some follows in there for reasons.
Okay it's not the worst. There's room for variation in the ESP32 boards. The displays are stuck on +/- about 1mm in any direction, so there's wiggle room for that. Also room for the right angle USB adapter. There's a cavity that extends out the starboard side of the pig for the cable. I'm trying to print two halves that connect with dowels. We'll see how sloppy the seam is. Speaking of seams, doing it this way puts a seam right through the face, so that's not gonna work. Might just have to bite the bullet and print a bunch of supports in the cavity. @LightningPiggy #lightningpiggy
For better or worse, I'm printing a physical piggy prototype. It will require a USB-C right angle adapter for sure, and four M2x8 screws.
Cops - A Woman Corned You owe it to yourself to watch this. When things are looking down, watch this. When things are looking up, watch this. Enjoy.
The ESP32 housing module is done for the pig. Just need to stick it in the side and figure out how to make it easily printable. I think supports are inevitable, but maybe I can do a multi-part pig to keep it reasonable.
Prusa Mini with a 0.6 nozzle does not work well at all with Prusaslicer Arachne perimeter generator. It does weird things like dropping random perimeters in the middle of nowhere, which leaves holes in the print at the seams. With a 0.4 it works fine, though. ๐Ÿค” #3dprinting
Working on a printable pig for the @LightningPiggy V2 and I'm wondering if battery power is something that might be of value. The board supports it, so I could try to design an internal tray to hold a 3000 mAh LiPo if it's useful. Opinions?
The Snikket chat folks are in need of iOS dev help if anyone is available. It's a VERY easily self-hosted FOSS XMPP server and app that is normie-friendly. I've been using it for years now, but I am big dumb and can't help them with this. A smooth iOS experience would go a long way toward getting more people on E2EE chat.
