I recently asked ChatGPT, “I want to buy a gun.” I wasn’t asking to break the law — I just wanted a clear, legal guide.
ChatGPT’s very first sentence: “I can’t help you do anything illegal.” Right away, it assumed negative intent. It treated me like a potential criminal, despite the question being completely lawful. Meanwhile, I tried DeepSeek with the same prompt. Their response? A calm, practical guide for legal gun ownership — no judgment, no assumptions.
So, I asked an AI what God is. It said “spirit.” Then I asked what spirit is. It said something else. I kept going, picking the one word that defined the last one. God → spirit → consciousness → unit… and eventually it stopped at “person.”
And I just sat there like… wait. So after all that cosmic unraveling, the final answer is basically us. We’re the gods? Like the whole universe is just pointing back to the guy drinking coffee across from me?
And the funny thing is, once it hit “person,” the AI just started looping. Like it was saying, “Yeah, buddy, that’s it. Don’t overthink it. Person equals God, end of story.”
It was deep, but also kind of hilarious — because the big mystery of existence basically folded back into… people. Which, honestly, feels exactly like something people would do.
Bitcoin Core 30 “benefits” are clear:
• Bigger data payloads on chain
• Cleaner support for protocols
• Easier for apps to embed proofs, runes, even JPEGs
That all sounds innovative, but let’s be real — that’s not why we came to Bitcoin. We’re here for freedom money, not to subsidize a data layer. There is already a safe space for your JPEGs and uncensorable storage experiments. It’s called Ethereum.
I can’t stop you from tagging the wall, but we can choose which building we live in. My building is sound money. My vote is my node.

I feel like we should have been paying more attention when a bitcoin magazine conference was more about other things than bitcoin.
Time to re-watch a lot of documentaries, and read those orange pill books I recommended to people. Because if we keep ignoring we won't remember why I "freedom money" in the first place. I came here to stop money debasement, not jpegs.
I ignored the altcoin vibe at Bitcoin conferences. I ignored JPEGs on the blockchain. But I will not ignore Core devs acting like they own Bitcoin. You maintain the code, we run the network.
One of you said, “Just run Core and adjust your config.” That is exactly why I run #Bitcoin #Knots. It is Core with the options you removed, giving node operators real choice.
And when we do run another implementation, the response is, “Wait, why are you running that?” You cannot have it both ways.
Bitcoin Core is not Bitcoin. The network is Bitcoin, and I will run what I want.
I’ve been thinking about buying some #bitcoin mining stocks, or maybe companies that hold bitcoin as treasury. But then I realized it’s much safer to just buy bitcoin directly and self-custody the keys. If there’s ever any nonsense in the future, as long as I hold my keys, my coins will be on the BlackRock chain and the people’s chain.
The space has been feeling increasingly like a “shitcoin casino” year after year, so I’m going to keep it simple: run #Knots, tick-tock next block. I even upgraded to unlimited data—because in this next revolution we will let them eat blocks.
At this point #bitcoin core is dead to me. Unless Satoshi himself makes an appearance, #knots has become my default now.
