Today, most doctors are employees within large healthcare systems — not independent practitioners. They work inside structures built around insurance approvals, prior authorizations, and administrative control. As @marybowdenmd notes, stepping outside that structure changed everything — no gatekeepers, no third-party interference, just direct accountability between doctor and patient. The traditional model trains dependency. Her model trains ownership.
