Aim for clarity not certainty… When you’re living life fully you will hardly have certainty but clarity is always available if you face reality and remain honest with yourself.
The biggest thing I’ve learned this year is that love changes the way I perceive reality. When I approach people with love first, I’m able to see their humanity before I judge them. That doesn’t mean I stop seeing the truth… it means the truth I arrive at is clearer because it isn’t clouded by resentment, contempt, or ego. Love doesn’t replace truth; it purifies it.
I find that people can understand your words, and still not get it.
Anyone knows the difference between 'I understand' versus when someone goes, 'Man... I get it!'
Getting it is something beyond understanding. Do you feel it? Is it in your bones? I love the 'Man... I get it!' moments.
Be careful that your desire for freedom does not quietly become a desire for domination. Some people thought they wanted wealth so that they can be free but what they really wanted was to be the slave owner.
