vs the argument against - to err on caution to not offend those who have bad associations with the word.
My understanding - 1) it's a net good to remove stigmatization of words from caricatures of people. Idiot, imbecil and moron were once used the same way with clinical origins. 2) If you know you're not using it in a space where it will be taken negatively by those who have bad associationd with the word - you'll be good.
