It's a strange irony to learn that those so specialized on work that advocates for the non-hierarchical life to claim that in order to understand the source material, you need to climb a tower of other authors first.

All that is needed to grow potatoes is burying the discarded skin of a potato. They simply begin again wherever they are. It is always in the middle. It is not predictable. It does not follow a linear pattern of growth and reproduction. The ideal book is a single flat sheet. On this sheet, lines can be drawn that would connect various points in the text. These lines would be new concepts. They wouldn't represent or reproduce anything. They would, by virtue of traversing the plane of the book, create a territory that would spawn other lines, other concepts, other connections.
