Hoch die anarchie. I do stuff, I make stuff, I am funny, but also, the CTO at Sovreign.io
Does anyone have morals today? My parents were both teens when I was born. I didn't have some grandpa telling me the moral foundations. I was barely going to church until I was 12. The only thing I can think of is hearing the Golden rule and thinking "Yeah, that tracks." How are so many people willing to sell themselves? If you hold a position, "I believe in [X]" Is that true at all prices? If you are paid millions do you still believe [X]? If your family is threatened do you still believe in [X]? If YOUR life is threatened will you still hold [X] true? Why do people not have scruples? Do you realize that makes for sale? Nothing more than a slight tax for evil to persist? If the price of your morality is not your life, you are a line item for evil's budget. You are for sale.
Hey, if everyone could just stop misunderstanding plain English, that would be great. Thanks. What I'm typing is the thing I'm saying, not something that you just made up in your own head. I know language is simply the translation of my thoughts into a standard format that is then translated into your brain. So, translate what I said without your commentary annotation. Wrestle with the idea with your own logic. THEN, type back to me in a way that addresses my points and not your own.
Anarchy IS the state of the world. Governments are just the largest warlords and their gangs. Capitalism is a system of organizing resources via money. Like any system there are rules that are bent and broken. Things have definitions and those definitions are ideals. A ball is a sphere shape. But if a ball isn't perfectly spherical does it cease to be true that balls are spheres? No, the ideal ball is a sphere but many balls are approximations of a sphere. I share your sentiment but the shirking of definitions is illogical. For example: saying "I am not a collectivist" means you are in a collective of non-collectivists. Is this a contradiction? No, it is an ideal. It is shorthand to say "I consider myself an individual moreso than part of a group." Being kind feels nice. And not everything you dislike is to be dismissed. View quoted note →
