I've taken some time off for myself, away from online screens of the web. After returning to Nostr space following roughly some 20 days, I found there's no way to read posts from people I follow. (Well, without frantically scrolling through the entire feed down to the last note I remember reading at the time. And dare you to skip this and try to return later - or switch clients - you'll lose the position within the feed.) I think I figured out a workaround: 1) in Jumble, there's the '24h Pulse' feed with a 'Load earlier' option at the top. 2) clicking it repeatedly until reaching the days I need will load the notes per npub. 3) with double feed view enabled (do this first, the second feed is needed), I have the list of folks and can browse them chronologically, one by one. There's also a counter (up to a 99+ posts), so I can see, loosely, how much content to expect. (Still I kept it with no refresh just to contain the counts until reading done for what it shows.) @Jumble for the win <3 #asknostr - besides doomscrolling, is there any better way to catch up on current events after a break?

Great feature for Nostr feed readers would be ability to show me the feed gaps - what I've been missing since the last time. Just a simple 'continue where left'. Now I have to scroll all the way down, barely remembering where stopped last time. And it's harder to do with multiple accounts. #improvenostr

@fiatjaf I have few questions after using Lantern: 1a) how to get rid of the 'definition' entry in Lantern? I don't know what it is and didn't publish any yet (Amber asking for wiki kind, don't know even where to read it later). Can see only 'Couldn't find wiki entries for' but no cancel/delete. 2b) also noted this option appears after a while, first few text selection doesn't have this option in dropdown. Is it intentional? 3) the Lantern extension doesn't pickup the dropped relay change. I have only two now for weeks and Lantern still published to 3. Log out/in doesn't help. Reinstall does. 4) in the extension details, the 'Extension website' points to 'web.hypothes.is' - maybe could it rather be to the repo? (Find the link while in process of reinstalling, because didn't know, out of sudden, where do I pick this extension to get it back.) All the best!

@Minibits if there is on-chain request and the wallet receive different amount (bypassing the value added to the address by '?amount=0.xyz') the request remain active in list of transactions. But user know it is delivered by different tx - so it could be manually deleted. Or there may be some auto expiry in settings for this case. Or is it as of now on purpose?

Despite LN having some shaking moments last weeks I don't encountered a single problem with it. Still miss the Boltz tho. And now with the Liquid in troubles - this will add to the LN liquidity shock I think. Keen on Cashu mints as many will pump on-chain through them (for the LN also).

Saw today the western marsh harrier - hunting nearby, V shape fly style. He didn't notice me, so passed by jut a few meters, not a small bird. And not common outside of the marshland. They seem to have to accommodate themselves in new areas, I think, because habitats are getting harder to find for them, not only because of overall dry season. This guy has a funny name in my native language, resembling something like "tipsy reeve" so that's why I remember this species so well.

So pasted a nsec (yet again; not this one) in a wrong field somewhere, cannot trust it now. I hate when someone develop an app/log-in with no Amber/remote signer since day 0. Now must recreate all again. It's tied to some legacy systems, so must check how the deletion there propagates. And contact support in order to remind them this situation could and will happen. (I'm the first one afaik outside of testing, if there was ever any in the first place.) One of the unseen advantages with current state of the nostr is its low adoption. The blast radius is few weirdos with whom I may connect later from new npub and they will know. God forbid this is still the same in the future with broad nostr success.

There are many bots whose job is to insert a link into a text with a short intro made from the note they are reacting to. With some segue to bend the sentence at the end toward the link provided. What is interesting to see is that they have recently been doing the PoW (16 is the base). Good to see they care. The cheaper copypasta doesn't do this.
