A friendly DC Bitcoiner was kind enough to buy 4 copies of Broken Money by @Lyn Alden for the #BitcoinBookDrop! We met up on Sunday to drop them in Little Free Libraries around the city. This is drop #29 🤓📚🇺🇸 Big shoutout to @Club Orange for getting us Bitcoiners connected! image

It’s a wet day in the nation’s capital but just as good as any for #BitcoinBookDrop #26! Today I dropped a copy of 21 Lessons by @Gigi in a Little Free Library near Union Station. I hope it finds its way into the hands of a curious reader! Enjoy! 🤓

Will you be in the DC area on March 30? Come hang out with fellow Bitcoiners at the 2024 National Kite Festival where I'll be flying my beautiful #StudyBitcoin kite (10am-4pm) to raise awareness & answer questions from curious kite flyers. We'll meet up somewhere between the German-American Friendship Garden & the Washington Monument but feel free to join our new Meetup event group so we can send out our exact location the day of.

I dropped my first copy of Fiat Food by Matthew Lysiak w/ @Saifedean Ammous into this Little Free Library dubbed “The Reading Turtle” in Alexandria, VA. Matthew’s book will have you questioning everything you were taught about nutrition. #BitcoinBookDrop #25

GM Plebs! I made new numbered stickers to put inside the next batch of books for my #BitcoinBookDrop I’ll drop these in little free libraries all over town so they’ll circulate within the community. What #Bitcoin  books should I add next? image

This week feels like it’s going to hit a bit differently. Is the calm finally turning into the storm? The air around me feels electric and I feel connected to every other sat stacking pleb that’s been dreaming of a world made better by #Bitcoin. Stay humble friends. <3

I took the day off to drive out to Princeton for a book talk with @Lyn Alden and stumbled across The Pole Farm in nearby Lawrenceville, PA. In 1929, AT&T purchased 820 acres of land and built the world's largest shortwave radiotelephone transmitting station. Thousands of antenna poles were erected, giving it the nickname “The Pole Farm”. These antennas facilitated the transmission of millions of international calls across the Atlantic to Europe, South America, Africa, and the Middle East. AT&T shut down service in 1975 as advancements in satellite technology rendered the station obsolete. As I walked through the park, I couldn’t help but think about all the technological innovation that had to proceed #Bitcoin before it could become what it is today: a global, scarce, permissionless, decentralized, immutable, pseudonymous, secure & transparent digital money the world has ever seen. I also thought about how quickly technological innovation can render previous technology obsolete. I pondered how #Bitcoin will inevitably do to gold & fiat what satellites did to The Pole Farm. It’s not a question of “if” but “when”. Anyway, back to sipping my coffee before heading to the talk!
