Are there any #Bitcoin book clubs out there? I started one in DC and our first meeting is in a couple of weeks. We are discussing The Blocksize War! I’m expecting 10-15 people and I’m super exited. I’ll end with some book trivia (with prize sats for best answers) and I’m also giving away a copy of @Andrew M. Bailey 😎 Does Nostr have any other ideas to make this an awesome event?

I ventured out to Wilmington, NC this weekend for a little rest & relaxation. The weather was great & the water & sand felt amazing. I brought a copy of Intro to #Bitcoin  by Erin Malone & found a cute little library for my 57th #BitcoinBookDrop Happy Reading #WilmingtonNC image

If you hadn’t noticed already, @Lyn Alden posted a 30 min video summarizing how money & banking work. It’s based on the core concepts from her book “Broken Money”. It’s definitely going into my orange-pill toolbox. Check it out! 🔸What is Money? 🔸The Rise of Banking 🔸The Global Financial System 🔸Centralization & Abstraction 🔸Open-Source Money youtu.be/jk_HWmmwiAs

You might spend too much time checking the #Bitcoin  price if you go for a beautiful hike and see this. 😅 📍Capitol Reef National Park image

I took the journey all the way to the World Bank HQ after work today. I made it to chapter 9 of Hidden Repression by @gladstein as I walked up, just in time to read “The Development Set” poem by Ross Coggins. It’s hitting a little differently now. 🤯

I walked into an empty café tonight to finish reading my book (The Price of Tomorrow by Jeff Booth). I thought it was open late but it had actually closed 10 minutes prior 😭 The owner was kind enough to make me a coffee anyway and while I waited I asked if he accepted #Bitcoin  as payment. Of course he said no but we ended up having a nice chat about it. Orange-pilling doesn’t have to be complicated. Simply bringing up Bitcoin in a friendly way to a stranger can plant seeds that will grow as they hear more & more about it. People are going to see & hear a lot more about Bitcoin as the number goes up. I think that having a real-world experience, like my convo with this coffee shop owner, can give them the nudge to take it seriously. Oh & I left him with a sticker from the folks over at @bitcoin.rocks 😎 image

The 4th #Bitcoin halving was my first and I am happy to have shared it with great people! The best part was the random pleb who accidentally wandered into our party from the street. Instead of turning him away we asked if he’d heard about #Bitcoin and invited him to stay for the party. He was a little intimidated at first but was very curious about how Bitcoin works. We spent several hours taking turns teaching him the basics and answering all of his questions. He left with knowledge, new friends, free sats, an amazing orange-pilling story AND the Bitcoin book I brought to give away for my #BitcoinBookDrop 😁📙🧡 I hope you all got to spend the halving with friends and loved ones. Tick tock.

This hot dog stand has been in business in DC for 16 years and I’m the first person to ever ask him if he accepts #Bitcoin  as payment. “If enough people asked I would look into it” 📍Constitution & 22nd NW image

I carried around this copy of #BrokenMoney by @Lyn Alden all day & ended up giving it to Jose Dominguez who happens to be running for congress to represent the people of MD-03. I don’t know anything about his politics but I do hope he takes the time to read Lyn’s book & #StudyBitcoin Here is #BitcoinBookDrop #33! image

This has to be the BIGGEST Little Free Library I’ve seen so far in DC! I ventured out to the neighborhood of Shaw for brunch with some local bitcoiners and brought a copy of 21 Lessons by @Gigi & The Fiat Standard by @Saifedean Ammous . Here’s #BitcoinBookDrop #30 & #31

A friendly DC Bitcoiner was kind enough to buy 4 copies of Broken Money by @Lyn Alden for the #BitcoinBookDrop! We met up on Sunday to drop them in Little Free Libraries around the city. This is drop #29 🤓📚🇺🇸 Big shoutout to @Club Orange for getting us Bitcoiners connected! image
