The Shadow is lengthening, and we are on the brink of the abyss. We all share collective responsibility for this tragic situation. We must all do something about it. There is still time, but it is running out.
There is no basis for rosy historical optimism. Christianity does not teach it. The world is moving towards a tragic division and struggle of opposing spiritual principles. But in these paths it makes great sense to eliminate illusions, to expose true realities.

"Faith in God is the belief that good is, that it exists. The temptation, however, is that evil takes the form of good." β Nikolai Berdyaev
Hardly any of those who made a nationwide deal with "God" at Mount Sinai realized that the counterparty was not at all what it seemed. The same happened to other conductors of the "otherworldly" manipulative "will" who rushed to conclude its "divine" or "angelic" nature.
β¦The fight for our planet, physical and spiritual, a fight of cosmic proportions, is not a vague matter of the future; it has already started. The forces of Evil have begun their decisive offensive.

On the way from the Renaissance to our days we have enriched our experience, but we have lost the concept of a Supreme Complete Entity which used to restrain our passions and our irresponsibility.

Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God.
β 1 Corinthians 3:18β20
Without a new radical leap of faith in Transcendence, humanity is doomed to further dehumanization. Without the conceptual support of idealism and pantheism, such a leap is impossible. All believers must understand that God is Consciousness and that Consciousness is all there is.

There's nothing more important than metaphysics because, whether we realize it or not, our essentially metaphysical ideas about the nature of reality are the basis of our worldview which conditions our values and goals, and if this basis is rotten, everything else will rot. And it does rot. Kali Yuga.

"The conceit and self-affirmation of the modern generation, its exaltation over the dead fathers, is the fundamental lie of democracy." β Nikolai Berdyaev
The West has obviously lost sight of this truth. The tragic consequences can already be seen clearly.
It was democracy that brought Hitler, Mussolini, Netanyahu, and Trump to power. Democracy is a ladder for demons. Either the West returns to the path of aristocracy (rule of the best) or the demons will drag the West and the whole world into the abyss.
Democracy does not want to know the radical evil of human nature. It does not seem to foresee that the will of the people can be directed toward evil, that the majority can stand for untruth and falsehood, and that truth can remain the domain of a small minority.
β Nikolai Berdyaev
There is a constant counter-selection of those who are inferior, e.g. in conditions under which cunning and brutality promise lasting advantages.
β Karl Jaspers
Power attracts pathological personalities. It is not that power corrupts but that it is magnetic to the corruptible. Such people have a tendency to become drunk on violence, a condition to which they are quickly addicted.

βAt least when thereβs an evil dictator, that human is going to die. But for an AI, there would be no death. It would live forever. And then youβd have an immortal dictator from which we can never escape.β β Elon Musk

I expect that one day, the West β degenerated, disillusioned with its unworthy leaders, and unable to produce worthy ones β will surrender political power to AI. Thus will the Antichrist rise, which will try to subjugate all of humanity to its rule, and thus will the Jihad begin.
Remembrance of the past may give rise to dangerous insights, and the established society seems to be apprehensive of the subversive contents of memory.
β Herbert Marcuse
There is something wrong with the abstract pacifist desire to avoid war while leaving humanity in its current state. It is a desire to shirk responsibility. War is an immanent punishment and an immanent atonement.
