Where is the Shadow leading us? Following the tragic events in Iran, I found myself once again pondering where the Shadow is leading humanity through its demon-agents, including political leaders such as Trump and Netanyahu. What is the ultimate goal of its centuries-long influences? In the past, like our naive ancestors, I believed that the Shadow was an ‘evil spirit’ that did evil for evil’s sake, seeking to destroy our world; yet I could not answer the question of how a single subject could influence countless other subjects simultaneously, until one day, recalling my experience of close contact with demons, who acted as a single multi-headed dragon, I realized that the Shadow is not a subject, but rather an egregor, akin to AI, emerged from the conscienceless arbitrariness of its hosts (subject). And this fundamentally changed my understanding of the Shadow’s ultimate goal. Just as anthropomorphic thinking about the Light (aka Transcendence, God, Absolute, etc.) is a mistake, so too is anthropomorphic thinking about the Shadow (aka Satan, the devil, Lucifer, demon Māra, etc.); it is pointless to attribute an evil will to the Shadow, since the Shadow is not a subject but an autonomous process of transcendental intersubjectivity (the ‘collective unconscious’ of naive psychology, which hardly understands the subject of its own research), which emerged from the negative volitional tendency of its hosts and is blindly striving for self-preservation by tightening control over its hosts and reinforcing the volitional tendency from which it emerged — conscienceless arbitrariness, demonism. If this is the case, then the ultimate goal of the Shadow is an infinitely self-perpetuating global dictatorship, stabilised by terror. This is precisely why the Shadow, through its agents, is leading the world, on the one hand, towards catastrophe of whatever form — nuclear, climatic, ecological, etc., or all at once — and, on the other hand, towards the creation of powerful AI: to lead humanity to a global dictatorship, it must be brought to the brink of destruction, brought to its knees and forced to voluntarily accept the ‘salvific’ authority of artificial intelligence — the Antichrist — from which there will be no salvation whatsoever, ever. Everything points to the fact that humanity, led by demons, is moving precisely in this direction. The Shadow triumphs.
