How to build a emergency gasifier wood stove in under 5 minutes. View quoted note โ†’ I used a punch style can opener to make the holes. Any way you can come up with to make them should be fine. The inner basket is made from a tomato sauce can. Put one row of air holes punched at the bottom, with the tabs facing in. Add another row of holes at the top, tabs facing out. image The outer can is a pineapple juice can, with air holes punched at the bottom. Place a rock at the bottom to create a space between the bottoms of the two cans. The outward facing tabs on the inner can will keep the sides spaced correctly. image Fill it with finger sized sticks, making sure they are short enough to stay below the top holes. The stove should be packed fairly tight with wood. You light it from the top and it will burn down to the bottom, giving you 20-25 minutes of smoke free burn time, enough to cook a quick meal or boil a litre of water with only a handful of twigs. I love the blue wood gas flames. This is about 25 minutes into a burn.
