Proof that energy was spent. Proof that work was done. Proof that cannot be faked. This is what bitcoiners call Proof-of-Work. So when someone tells you Bitcoin is “just virtual,” laugh in their face. Bitcoin is energy converted into incorruptible capital. Bitcoin is computation forged into monetary bedrock. a small random life story

Let me get this straight: If I print dollars in my basement, that's counterfeiting with up to 20 years federal. If some central bank creates $5 trillion in two years, that's monetary policy. If I deposit $10,000 of my own money, my bank files a report on me. If the bank lends my deposit out again and again, that's just banking. If I miss a tax payment, penalties start compounding immediately. If Congress overspends by $2 trillion, they vote to raise their own limit. The rules were rigged in favor of those who print the money Gold has always been an exit from that arrangement. Neutral money nobody can 'print' Bitcoin is better because it can move digitally and is even more scarce. Which explains most of the official hostility toward it.

15 years ago, if you did the responsible thing & bought $10,000 of 'risk-free' long-term Treasuries, you'd have $11,072 today. If instead you spent $9,995 on drugs & $5 on #bitcoin, you'd have $42,778 today.
