I'm not like really engagedin AI at all, but if I were to actually read more than the link I just read about deepseek, I would start by digging into the company and who is doing what.
More than likely there are foreigners inside there and the key wizards (as Chinese refer to them in Chinese) inside the company more than likely studied with the top AI guys wherever they are OUTSIDE of China.
