I sometimes wonder about Satoshi freezing his brain and planning to wake up 1,000 years in the future. Imagine spending a millennium asleep, dreaming of a world where privacy wins, money is truly decentralized, and cypherpunk ideas become everyday reality. Then you finally wake up, excited to check your wallet, only to discover that quantum computers broke the old cryptography centuries ago. Everyone migrated to new security systems long ago, but you couldn't because you were frozen and unconscious. After diamond-handing for 1,000 years, your coins are gone not because you sold, panicked, or made a mistake, but simply because technology moved on without you. It's a funny thought experiment, but it also highlights an important lesson: in open systems, security isn't something you set up once and forget forever. Even the strongest keys may eventually need to evolve as the world changes. The future may reward patience, but it probably also rewards staying awake for the updates. 😄
