Imagine the future if "age verification" becomes a standard requirement to access most of the internet. This lays the groundwork to control the entire population's online activities. Imagine saying the wrong thing online and getting suspended from internet access. You'll have to pay a drug addict to scan their face for you to unlock access for 30 minutes at a time, every 30 minutes the system wants to confirm that an approved user is the one accessing an application or website and you have to rescan. Don't worry though, while you are suspended from the internet you can always go buy a book or drive to the beach. Oh wait they also suspended your bank account due to you being labeled "high risk". You can't even buy gas until you complete a reeducation course and promise not to say certain things on the internet again. This is not unrealistic or far fetched. People are already being arrested for speech. We have to push back on this before it's too late! #privacy
Yes let's keep giving governments tax money, they will do better things with it than we can ever even dream of. Such as enabling genocide, killing random civilians at weddings, forcing people into prison slave labor, locking people in their own homes, coercing people into getting untested vaccines, spying on everything we do, taking away our right to defend ourselves, arresting people for plants, etc etc etc. We probably would of just done something stupid with it, thank god they took it first. #taxationistheft image
No verdict today in the trial of open source software developer Roman Storm, jury sent home, they will continue to deliberate monday morning. We get to hold our breath all weekend now. If you are not paying attention to this trial and hoping for a not guilty verdict, you need to be. The Samourai wallet devs are probably going to prison after pleading guilty to unlicensed money transmission because they wrote some open source software that protected legitimate user's privacy. On August 13, Youtube will start asking users in the USA to prove their age.. Wikipedia is currently fighting the UK government because they are trykng to force them to ID people... The FinCen mixer rule outlined in the new Digital Assets Report by the White House will criminalize any attempt at gaining some privacy on a transparent blockchain. Our privacy is under attack every single day. The right to build permissionless decentralized applications without fearing arrest is more important than ever with governments and corporations locking down the centralized parts of the internet. One billion people don't even have a government ID and couldn't KYC even if they wanted to. Free and open access to the internet and to cryptocurrency is essential to prevent a dystopian nightmare future. Maybe we all need to take a break from hypergambling for a day every once in a while and do something that helps the fight for freedom against tyrannical governments worldwide. If you don't know what you can do to help, hit me up and I'll give you a list. The best time to act was yesterday. Better late than never though. #privacy #freesamourai #tornadocash #freeromanstorm
In the IRS, "Special Agent", has a different meaning than you would think, it means retarded agent. "IRS Special Agent George, tasked with tracing the Government's first witness' funds to Tornado Cash, testifies that he does not know what crypto[.]com is, doesn't know the difference between ERC-20 and ETH".... George, if you get a work assignment involving Ethereum and you are getting paid bookoo tax dollars to do it, at least take 15 minutes to learn about Ethereum so you don't look like a complete moron on the stand. It's okay that our government is full of incompetent people though, considering their job is to hurt and rob people I would say incompetence is a good thing.
After today's news about Obama, I truly can't think of any presidents in my lifetime that don't deserve to do hard time. Every single one of them were cool with normies who can't afford fancy lawyers getting thrown in cages for victimless "crimes". Every single one routinely lied to the American people and can be directly linked to and oversaw immoral and criminal actions by the state. Lock em' all up. Pick a president from the last few decades and I'll give you at least 2 reasons they belong in prison.
Politicians will say anything to get elected. Republics don't work because humans can just lie. All a politician has to do to take power is lie and pretend he will do things to help you. So you vote for them. When they don't do the things they promised to do, you can't do shit about it except vote for a different liar next time around. In the mean time, the politician still has power over your life. The problem isn't which politician is in charge, you are never going to elect the "right one". There is no savior in a suit coming to your aid. The only solution is to not give politicians power at all regardless of what lies they tell you. We can take care of ourselves and each other without needing to give any one group total control over our lives. Another lie politicians tell us is the biggest lie of all, that we need the state in the first place. People continue to believe that one, despite the state continuing to do more harm than good. People get angry at the state but want to fix it with more government, something that has never worked and will never work. #politics
Sadly, the United States government of today is exponentially more authoritarian then the government the founding fathers declared independence from was. The American people of the 1700s fought a war partially over taxes that were much less than the taxes we are accustomed to today. The American people of 2025 bend over and "pay their fair share" to the ruling class to fund evil without a second thought. The founders would be horrified at what the country has become.
There is only so many people in the world that understand that the state is a criminal organization and the fiat monetary system is a scam. So maybe we should stop expending energy fighting among ourselves over stupid shit and focus on resisting oppression.
In a free country everyone would be undocumented. Now you can't even leave the United States without a passport. Passports were a "temporary" government program instituted during WWI. For more than half our country's history, passports weren't a requirement to travel. They are a violation of our God given natural right to travel peacefully. Which is better, 1. Trying to change the system from within it using existing democratic processes. 2. Opting out of the system entirely and building parallel systems within the system. 3. Dismantling the system entirely and starting from scratch? 4. Do nothing and just wait for the system to collapse on it's own.
No kings should just be no rulers. Millions of people realize something is wrong with the things the state does, but those people think the solution is to just switch the people in power with different people. The problem isn't just which people are in power, it's that the power exists in the first place. Voting doesn't make violence and oppression legitimate. Words in a law book don't make it legitimate. Nine high priests in fancy robes don't legitimize the violent actions of the state either. People have been brainwashed from the second they start school into thinking a bunch of thugs have a right to rule them and tax them because they put on suits and hold elections. If you own a shop and a local gang is extorting you for protection money, but every four years you get to vote on which gang gets to extort you, you are still getting fucked. No rulers doesn't mean no rules. People can organize and cooperate on a voluntary basis without any need for a ruling class with a monopoly on violence. The state wants you think society would instantly collapse without it. This is false. The state has and always will do more harm than good.
If you spent some of your XMR when it rallied to ~$420, now is a good opportunity to restock your wallet with some private digital cash. Monero is the future of money. #monero #privacy image
One of the main reasons shitcoins are so shitty is because of regulations. Many of these protocols make plenty of actual revenue, but usually the tokens don't entitle holders to a share of that revenue. In a free society without the criminal organization known as the state, crypto projects could easily share revenue with token holders without worrying about regulations. Instead projects have to do dumb workarounds like token buy backs and/or burns which don't actually do much for the price. Revenue sharing mechanisms would drastically increase the value of many tokens, leading to massive wealth generation accessible to anyone around the world including the billions of people who don't have the ability to purchase equity in traditional companies. Imagine a world unencumbered by a corrupt state that protects entrenched players by stifling innovation through arbitrary and often nonsensical regulations that fail to protect anyone except a few rich and powerful individuals at the top. In a free society innovation would rocket forward at breakneck speed, and anyone would be able to benefit from this innovation regardless of where they live or what documents they possess. Imagine a world in which we could invest all of the money we earned into ourselves, our families, and our communities based on our individual beliefs, priorities, needs, and wants. Instead we are forced to work a significant portion of our lives for the state, only to watch the taxes we pay get wasted or spent on evil. Imagine if the money we earned appreciated over time instead of losing value because the state prints money at a rapid pace to fund it's violence. Such a world is possible, but it starts with people realizing that they are slaves.
