All "services" provided by the government could be provided more efficiently and at a higher level of quality by non government organizations, businesses, and individuals on a voluntary basis. In exchange for these services and "protection", you give up your freedoms, and your time/labor. This arrangement is not voluntary, it is slavery. The government does not protect you, more often than not they actually put you in danger. The entire system is designed to extract the maximum amount of value from it's citizens through taxation and inflation that it can without anyone revolting. This is a delicate balance, as citizens outnumber government by a great deal. So they make it seem like you have some control over the arrangement, by holding meaningless "elections". No matter what outcome these elections produce, the result has always been the same, bigger government and less rights. It makes no sense to me how so many people be constantly fighting against corporations and talking about how evil they can be, but simultaneously believe everything some pharmecticual companies say about certain vaccines. They are only greedy evil corporations 95% of the time, but with vaccines they suddenly become honest and altruistic. You really think these giant pharm companies care more about making sure your child is healthy and safe than protecting billions in profits? You can't be rallying against the evils of capitalism while also pretending they don't apply to vaccines.

Police have tons of resources already available to them, they just choose to focus their resources on thuggery instead of crime fighting. Most of what cops do has nothing to do with fighting crime, the majority of their time is spent doing revenue collection (road piracy) and harrassing/arresting/murdering people for committing victimless "crimes" such as drug possession. Better tools for cops directly translates to more people getting charged and arrested for bullshit. Until cops actually start fighting real crime and only real crime, they should be deprived of every tool possible. Until that point, they are just criminals themselves and every cop that is willing to enforce these bad laws for the state needs to be in a prison cell. They don't care about you, they don't want to protect you, they want to find a reason to kidnap you. #deflock

At least when the state taxes someone, they are aware of it and might even be ok with "paying their fair share". However, when the state debases the currency through unrestrained money printing, it is robbing people without many of them even realizing it. Most people have no clue how the fiat monetary system works, or how it benefits the ruling class at their expense. The state takes full advantage of that ignorance. I think if people knew the truth they would revolt. Your time, your limited time on this planet, is being stolen from you. When you factor the hidden tax of inflation in with other taxes, a huge portion of your life is spent working for the state. The state does not use much of the value it extracts from you to do anything that actually benefits you. Most of it goes to waste, corruption, and the military industrial complex. When the market is pumping, it is harder for money to flow into XMR because of the CEX delistings. Despite this, Monero has outperformed most of crypto throughout the bear market. DEXes like Thorchain adding Monero will change the game. One of the biggest factors in ZEC's success has been Near Intents allowing anyone to permissionlessly swap into ZEC from Ethereum, Ethereum L2s, and Solana. If Monero has outperformed despite the friction involved in onboarding, imagine what it can do once anyone can permissionlessly and instantly swap into it from other chains without having to trust swap providers.

What Texas did with Delta 8, taking a legal product and making it worse than cocaine legally overnight by decree with no vote, is a great reminder of how quickly the state can make anything it wants a crime arbitrarily.
