Ibn Khaldun argues that a tribe accepting taxation has already been weakened, as strong 'group feeling' (‘asabiyyah) resists imposed payments. Once people grow used to paying taxes under oppression, they lose the strength to defend themselves and cannot achieve 'royal authority'

Dumb question, but if I were to buy some btc over lightning from strike or Cashapp, and swap it to a Bitcoin address using Boltz.exchange, and assuming that bitcoin address isn't tied to my identity in any way, those sats would essentially be kyc-free, correct?

We gotta get folks to at least start talking about boycotting the Federal Reserve.

Man I love it when brothers at the masjid ask me how to get started with Bitcoin. I walk them through on where to buy some btc, and I usually get them to download a wallet and send them btc and get them to understand what a seed phrase is. "look brudda, you see those 12 words? those are your keys. Do not lose them. Write them down. We're not gonna trust these Riba institutions with our money anymore OK? We gotta start being responsible and actually take custody of our wealth. Allah sent us down on this Earth as Khalifas, let's start acting like it, starting with our money. Oh and no altcoins. Bitcoin only brudda" They usually have a dumb look on their face when I rant passionately like this but they're fine with it because they get free btc ☺️

Bitcoin is the most viable and Islamic way to buy a house in the age of declining Riba money. More Islamic than halal mortgages.

Man, criticisms of Bitcoin from Muslims, even scholars, is just so utterly abysmal. There's literally someone making the claim that Bitcoin doesn't exist because it's mathematics, while making that comment through a digital medium. The irony is just comical. And it always goes back to some form of "no intrinsic value", and when it's not that it's just the same cycle of going from "it's used by criminals" to "uses too much energy" to "fixed supply will crash the economy" to tether FUD to quantum computing to some other crypto replacing it. It's just endless. I'm just a nobody. I shouldn't have to break these dumb contentions down for actual legit Muslim scholars. I just don't know why it's too much to ask to pick up a copy of the Bitcoin Standard or actually doing a bitcoin transaction before they say dumb stuff. Maybe I am asking for too much. Maybe I need to write an essay for these critics so they can actually know how to competently criticize bitcoin. We deserve better critics.
