Good Morning Nostriches. Brain and continued back spasms have me up since 2am. A habit we started about 7 years ago is whomever wakes first, puts worship music on in the home. This morning’s first song that popped up was “Always on Time” by Elevation Worship. How true this is! God is never early, never late, His Time Preference is perfect. “I remember how You provided How You held me through the night And I remember how You sustained me When You stepped in to save my life Jesus I was tossed in the water But I never went under You were always on time Jesus When I went through the fire You were right there besidе me You were always on timе You were always, always, always on time And You were always, always, always on time” Amen! #GM #coffeechain #teachain

Years ago we had a mentor we learned a lot from. Not all of it was good. A lot of what they taught was pure hustle and grind — get the fancy watch, the luxury car, and who cares about the debt because “debt is just a tool.” We benefited. We grew the business. We grew ourselves. But we also got swept up in the hype of “things.” Fast forward a few years… life happened. And we quickly saw the gap — especially the spiritual gap — between what Jesus and God’s Word actually say and the “chase more” philosophy we had bought into. Wisdom beats knowledge every time. Today I’m completely content not driving the $200k car (and carrying the cashflow hit that comes with it). I’d much rather rest in the arms of Jesus while helping others move closer to what they truly want… and what God ultimately has for them. To lead His business well, you first have to lead yourself well. Sometimes that means your vehicle is a couple years older than the next guy’s. And you’re totally okay with that — because when you compare chasing more to what Scripture says, the trade-off is worth it. What’s one area in your life or business where you’re still chasing “more” instead of resting in what God has for you?

I’m happy to report I believe we have found our new church home. Something I’ve taught for decades are The Four F’s of Community: 1. Fed Does this community feed me as a whole person, the way I need to be fed to show up as my optimal self? Is it addressing my spiritual needs (soul needs) along side the other areas of my life? 👇 2. Fit in Does the community consist of enough like minded people that I’m not the odd ball/sore thumb sticking out? Are we headed in the same general direction? Do we agree on enough to like each other yet is the culture mature enough to challenge one another when we don’t 👇 3. Fellowship Beyond the larger community that may be in the 100’s to 1000’s (or more) Is there opportunity for me to connect on a deep level with a subset? Can I fellowship in micro groups (5-12 people)? 👇 4. Fruitful Am I able to be myself together in service of others? (What are the opportunities to use my God given talents?) Does the community get outside of their own walls and make the world a better place? What is the impact as a collective whole that we can have? ==== As your family season’s change; sometimes too your church family must change so that you don’t become isolated within your local body of Christ.

Good Morning Nostriches! NGL dogs got me up and 4am 🤦🏻‍♂️ and I’m on day12 of back spasms throughout the night. Combined this has me a little frustrated. Not yet cranky…but a bit miffed for sure. This weekend is basketball tournament for the teen. ⛹️‍♂️ At practice on Thursday he hit 7 three’s, four in a row and had a total of 31 points on the varsity team…he’s in 8th grade 😯 Whether he makes it pro or not, I know God has great things for him! Finishing up an internal project this week then I plan to get back into producing content for Above the Line Leader. Awhile back in the earlier days of defi, I wrote on a platform called Paragraph(dot)xyz (now com). What I liked about it was using ETH or my preference at the time, Polygon (POL), one could gate content and people could subscribe via their wallet and you could earn. Well…it was slightly ahead of it’s time and a bit clunky (as most innovations tend to be in their first few iterations. Fast forward to today, I intend to get back into writing and while NOSTR has Read/Articles I thought to myself “I wonder if Paragraph is using BTC now? So i went and checked… NOPE!!! They are on Base with an ERC-20 token called “Coins”. Basically they want you to enable the smart contract that will split revenue 50/50 LOL 🤣 That’s friggin worse the Substack and other competitors. No thanks! I’ll stick with truly decentralized, fully open source, and support for my writing contributed in sats; thank you very much. Here’s to fresh beginnings and NOSTR. #grownostr
