Working on a nostr relay implementation using Python, FastAPI & SQLite. There are already a few Python relays out there but I figured the best way to learn the protocol was to build something!

Life is hard, it's difficult being a father, a husband, a man, someone who is trying to do the right thing. Circumstances have driven me very low, to the point of therapy and a lot of deconstruction of faith. But thankfully I'm on the way back up, being built up in a better way this time. I know religious content isn't what people are probably use to on nostr but I hope it gives you an insight into my life and some food for thought. Goal for the next few months is to unbank my personal finances as much as possible. Family finances are handled in a separate account but going to aim to do all my personal spending 100% #Bitcoin. Any advice on how to do it, particularly in the #uk?

A question about #nostr and #freedom The decentralised nature of Nostr means that once something is posted it can’t really be deleted. Some relays might respect the request to be deleted but there’s no guarantee. How does this conflict with the aim of freedom we’re pushing for? Isn’t the right to have something withdrawn or be forgotten a part of freedom? Not a critique but a through, please discuss!

Thinking about how I can push my blog posts on my website to nostr relays. Anyone done it before? I’m aware of blogstack but I want to have some kind of trigger to push from my website. I’m using Hugo and Netlify to host. Bonus points if you can tell me how to decentrally host my site as well.
