The most important thing I’ve learnt this year is to stop and analyse your thoughts before believing them.
9/10 if I’m anxious about something it’s because I’m blinding believing intrusive thoughts/fears.
When I stop and TELL myself “it’s just a thought you don’t need to engage it” I think clearer much quicker.
In the space of the last 5 years I’ve:
- Gotten married
- Bought a house
- Had two kids
- Risen the career ladder quickly
All of these things happening has taught me I’m no where near as mature as I thought I was. It put me in a very difficult place mentally the past couple of years but bit by bit I’m getting to the light at the end of the tunnel.
Things aren’t easier but I’m learning to deal with them better.
I hope 2024 you all find the light at the end of your tunnels!

One of the downsides of Nostr currently is the amount of Bitcoin s**tposting. Sometimes my feed is full of it, why bother scrolling to see the same regurgitated content? Also half the time the content isn’t the work of maximalists but mainly just idiots

Ad Astra, per aspera
Having some ADHD tendencies makes it difficult focusing my energy on productive, helpful things.
My view of the world has definitely been refined recently and is helping give me that clarity I want/need.
I want my work (not necessarily my job) to focus on some common trends:
1. Empowering communities to grow together using technology as a tool (think #nostr, decentralised tech, etc)
2. Empowering #solarpunk & #permaculture adoption
3. Bitcoin not just as wealth accumulation but a societal initiative that empowers those that fiat has left behind
4. Anything I do needs to be #opensource
If you’re working on something and want a helping hand in the above let me know. I am a competent Python programmer but also have experience with JS/TS, Go, AWS and do Machine Learning & MLOps as a job.
Alternatively if you have an idea but no way to execute it let’s talk as well.

Jesus is the true and better David whose victory becomes his people’s victory, though they never lifted a stone to accomplish it themselves.
Jesus is the true and better Esther who didn’t just risk losing an earthly palace but lost the ultimate heavenly one, who didn’t just risk his life but gave his life, who didn’t just say, “If I perish, I perish,” but also, “When I perish, I’ll perish to save my people.”
Jesus is the true and better Jonah who was cast out into the storm so we could be brought in.
