I think nearly all of the DARPA/CIA programs that scare people into thinking that magic is real or there’s some sinister cabal running everything (remote viewing, teleportation, population control, on and on) are actually just fake bureaucratic bloat. There are *trillions* in unaccounted funding. These programs are probably all about one thing: getting funding for people you know. They have to talk it up to make it seem like it’s legit, but it’s all fake. You grew up at a country club with some guy, went to school with another. He gets to run some “research program” with an 8 or 9 figure budget and he makes an easy 6 or 7 figure salary. They scratch each other’s back with slush fund money. Oh and “top secret” bloat is out of control, so you can’t see into any of it. Even the most banal shit is TS, like catering orders and parking rules for interns. In one sense, it’s less scary because there likely isn’t one unified effort to coordinate evil, like in the movies. In another sense, the banality of this bureaucratic evil is terrifying. Many of the men running these programs will create untold civilian collateral damage…all because their wife is bitching that they need a new Range Rover, the mortgage on the Hampton’s house is due, and they have multiple kids enrolled in Ivys. Either I get this new funding grant for some BS, or my wife starts fucking the pool guy to get back at me. What would you do?

Something isn’t right with Jack Kruse. My grifter detector spikes anytime I listen to him. I can’t put my finger on why. I try to be forgiving with how people speak, but to me, with how he always answers his own questions and one-ups with deeper levels of psyops, he sounds like he has grandiose narcissism. Maybe secretly an active alcoholic too. Idk. Also, he’s too fat? Anyone that significantly downplays the importance of a seed oil (and plant) free diet and exercise is just automatically a pass for me.

One thing that makes Bitcoiners so great is that definitionally, we took a leap of faith. On our first days, we knew hardly anything about Bitcoin, yet put our money on the line. That’s something that reluctant noncoiners misunderstand, they overestimate how much they need to know about Bitcoin before they start buying. When in reality, you need to start buying in order to really start learning.

Great job explaining, Max, very efficient. Huge props to Tom too for promoting some optimism and for being open to novel tech at his age. P.S. Tom also has a great sense of humor, with his ad read, “My friends, we’re all on the spectrum…the risk spectrum that is…” View quoted note →

Altcoins are out, so last two cycles. Bitcoin treasury companies on Robinhood are in. Now you don’t even need to make a coinbase account to “trade crypto”. View quoted note →

Hilarious stuff. The comedy writes itself. Bari and Douglas are comedic geniuses. If they weren’t so bloodthirsty it would be even funnier.

Which is a better measure of leverage in the US financial system: S&P P/E ratio * US10Y yield or S&P P/E ratio / US10Y yield? Or neither?
