1970 AMC Javelin Trans-Am The AMC Javelin Trans-Am race car was a high-performance muscle car that competed in the Sports Car Club of America's Trans-American Championship (Trans-Am) from 1970 to 1972. The Javelin was a product of American Motors Corporation, which was known for producing affordable and reliable cars. image However, the company wanted to change its image by participating in motorsports. In 1967, they hired former Ford engineer Roy Lunn to lead the design team on a new project: a muscle car designed specifically for racing. The first AMC Javelin produced for the Trans-Am series was the 1970 model. The car featured a distinctive design with a long hood and short deck, flared fenders, and a sleek profile. Despite this, the Javelin managed to win two races and finish third in the championship standings. However, after the 1972 season, American Motors Corporation decided to withdraw from the Trans-Am series, citing budget constraints. The AMC Javelin Tran-Am race car was a highly successful and iconic Trans-Am racer that left an indelible mark on the Trans-Am series. Its success on the track helped to boost American Motors Corporation's image and reputation, and cemented the Javelin's place in muscle car history. #racing #racingcars #cars #carstr #grownostr

Say hello to the new BMW 3.0 CSL is set to make its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year, and it's already making waves in the automotive press. While the specs are impressive they completely missed the mark from the concept version. Here is a comparison below with the production version on top and the concept on bottom. image Completely missed the mark with styling of the new 3.0 CSL. While the design is certainly "interesting", it doesn't quite live up to the sleek, aggressive and fluid concept that was unveiled earlier. It looks too much like a widebody M4 with a no-name brand cheap bodykit! I also will never get over the large pig nostrils on all modern BMWs starting with the 2020 revamp. Looks terrible, imo! #cars #carstr #carchain #carnews #grownostr
